Parents in Singapore, has anyone dealt with recurring ear infections in their children?
had a few ear infections recently, and I’m wondering when it’s best to see a paediatric ENT and what treatment was recommended for your child.

My child went through a phase of this too, and honestly it was quite stressful. I'd say if he's had more than a couple in a few months or they're happening one after another, that's when I'd bring him to see a PD first to check what's going on, and the PD can refer you to a paediatric ENT at KKH if needed. In my case, the doctor wanted to rule out things like fluid buildup in the ears or if there were any underlying issues before deciding on next steps. Every child is different though, so it really depends on how frequent they are and whether antibiotics are helping or not. Might be worth keeping a little log of when the infections happen so you can show the doctor the pattern.

We took her to Dr Lau Chee Chong, a paediatric ENT doctor here in Singapore, and the treatment recommended depended on the cause of her infection, including medication and ear drops. I’d suggest seeing an ENT so your daughter can be checked and you know which treatment is suitable for her.
