Whooshing sound in right ear.

Hi hi. Currently am 18 weeks pregnant. Recently, I’ve been experiencing a mini whooshing sound in my right ear. Esp when I get up from a lying position to standing. It can linger for a few minutes. Wondering if any of you have experienced this? My BP during the last check up was ok at 113/49.

I experienced this during pregnancy too 😅 My doctor said hormonal changes, increased blood flow, and lower BP during pregnancy can sometimes cause a “whooshing” sound or ringing in the ears, especially when standing up too fast. Your BP looks a bit on the lower side too, so maybe try: * standing up slowly * drinking enough water * not skipping meals * resting more But if it becomes very loud, constant, comes with dizziness/headache/blurred vision, or only happens on one side frequently, better mention it to your gynae just to be safe 😊

I haven't experienced that myself, but pregnancy does some strange things to our bodies with all the hormonal and blood volume changes, so it could be related to that. Since it's happening when you change positions, it might be worth mentioning to your gynae at your next visit or calling the clinic just to check in, especially since it's lingering for a few minutes. Your BP sounds good though, which is reassuring. In the meantime, try getting up slowly and see if that helps at all.
