Covid vaccination for pregnant women

this is my first pregnancy too..I'm in the same dilemma whether to take covid vaccine or not keeping in mind all the possible side effects it may have on me and the baby both short term and long term. But considering the daily rise in the covid cases bothers me significantly. I'm actually in the same boat as you are. My gynae has asked me to take the vaccine too. But who can promise people like us that it will surely not have a bad impact on the little ones that we carry?

I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant and I've decided to only have my covid vaccines after my baby is safely delivered for I am worried about any side effects on my little on despite doctors' assurances that it would not take any effect on the baby you're carrying. Hi mummy. There is 2options. To think what is the best on which ome u feel more comfortable. To take to protect urself & bb. Not to take thinking of the long term effect since this is new even when Science says its safe. If ur confidence enough kn which decisions is d best go ahead. Even not all gynae are in the same boat. Some hesitate and some persistent. For my gynae, he is very persistent just to be on safe side.

Overall we just gotta consider and weigh the risks of both options. I chose to take at week 27 (all is ok so far, been 4 weeks since!) cos the risk of contesting covid during pregnancy or delivery is higher and worst than the effects of the vaccine. And our baby might get the antibodies as well. No right or wrong just be comfortable with your decision :)

my gynae actually advised against taking it coz of the unknown long term effects of vaccine on unborn baby. so it's up to each mummy to weigh the risks since the number of cases is rising daily.

Mine too they said more effective but I’m still concerned
