Hi GD Mummies, do you all take red date tea during confinement? Is it too sweet to drink everyday? My mum told me not to drink water but tske red date tea instead. I'm worried about the sugar level.

tbh, the red date tea that u r having should not have any sugar in it.. so the sweetness is from the longan jtself.. even when I cater for confinement meal, I state to have non sugar added red date tea..

I had for the first half (i think) of my confinement until i went back for my gynae for followup. He told me dun drink 😂 then i stopped. But i asked for low sugar and regretted, shldnt have.

yes, cn boiled for me everyday but can still drink a little warm water because the tea doesnt really quench thirst.. More for boost milk supply and 补气..keep body "warm"
