Failed hearing test

Hi, FTM here. My LO failed newborn hearing screening and unfortunately was found out that he was born with a narrow ear canal. As he is still very young, doc advised to do hearing test with sedation when he’s 4 months old. Subsequently will advise next steps. Has anyone experienced this before and can share your experience? It’s really heartbreaking to me and still trying to accept this.
