you can definitely start giving dal ka pani to your baby once 6 months are complete. while introducing it for the first time, you don't have to add any salt or turmeric to it. just make sure that you boil the dal in a lot of water and boil it really well, so that the dal turns very soft and breaks. stir the dal to break it up and then strain out the water. start your baby on this water. later on you can also add this water to different dishes you prepare for your baby.
i would say please keep your baby on exclusive breast feed for the first 6 months. after that, give dal ka paani as one of the first transition foods. make sure you give only a very tiny bit at the start. for instance, for the first week or so, give only the same dal ka paani and that too only about 1 tsp. a day. see how your baby reacts to it. and no need to add any salt or turmeric at all. once your baby gets comfortable and is fine, you can increase the amount slowly.
Hi, You can give it after six months as doctors say that till six months you should not give baby anything except breastmilk or if the baby is on formula milk then that is it, as they get all nutrition from it. So, after six months you can start giving him dal ka paani, or mashed fruits and boiled and mashed vegetables etc.

once your baby completes 6 months, you can easily introduce dal ka paani as a first liquid food. in fact, dal ka paani is a great start to your baby's venture into the food world after exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months :)
