Cooking porridge on the go

I used Zojirushi thermal pot to cook food instead of food jar. I just worried that the heat might not be sufficient. Unless you are referring to frozen stash add hot water and keep it in food jar to warm up then yes. I tried it before. Good at warming up the food with very hot just boiled water. I warmed up the food jar first before placing any food inside as food jar are good for only 2 hours in keeping food warm.
