5 weeks scan

People usually go for their first gynae visit at week 8 as by then, everything that the gynae needs to check to determine the viability of the pregnancy will be there already. You're just making yourself more worried if you choose to go so early. Only go gynaes this early if you know you're pregnant and are bleeding. That warrants an urgent visit. Otherwise, just go starting from week 8.

Yup yup! Too early. My gynae also mentioned 5 weeks can only see sac and nothing else! By 6-7 weeks then can see yolk sac or even fetal pole, 8 weeks heartbeat. They will always ask to come back by 7-8 weeks. 8 weeks would be best!

Yup it’s normal. For my first born, went gynae at 6 weeks and it’s too early. Only can see sac. So now currently pregnant with second at 5 weeks. Will wait till 8-9 weeks before booking my first appointment with gynae.

Dont worry too much, 5 weeks could be too early. Usually around 7 weeks will be the first scan, by then they can confirm by the heartbeat.
