The main idea of baby led weaning is not so much not allowing the baby to use a spoon at all, but that to encourage the baby to take what he/she wants to eat. You can try giving your baby a loaded spoon (with oatmeal) to feed himself/herself. Alternatively, you can also offer yogurt as dips to cooked vegetables or fruits for your baby.
One thing to note will be to ensure that your baby is able to grasp and “gum” the food offered. Firmer fruits and vegetables should be cooked till they are relatively soft.
