You may want to monitor if what you experience is a pre-labour warm ups. They usually don't have a set of pattern. Does it come and go when you change activities such as lay down? Are you dehydrated? Feel your lips if they are dry. If you experience regular tightening sensation that becomes more regular, increase in intensity. Perhaps it is a sign of labour. I suspect what you experience is pre-labour warm up commonly term as Braxton Hicks.
Agree with the mommy above. Sounds like Braxton Hicks contractions. They have been known to begin any time after 20 weeks of pregnancy and increasing through 32nd weeks all the way until real labour begins.
