Do you ever really gain back your pre-pregnancy weight or do you settle for a 'new normal'? It seems everyone I talk to seems to have resigned themselves to a few extra kilos post pregnancy

Many of my friends went back to their pre birth weight. It wasn't easy though, took alot of calorie counting and workouts to get back in shape - averaging 6-12 months. Weight loss in general requires motivation. Find something that motivates you -- be it that sexy red dress, shutting the naysayers who say you can't do it or just for your general well being and satisfaction. I suggest you do short circuit exercises daily like one of my friends. You can download an exercise app (I recommend Workout Trainer) and do these 5-10 minutes exercises daily. Some of these workouts are really simple and convenient, you can do them sitting at your desk at work or at home, while your kids are napping. Don't give up!

Perhaps I'm the lucky few. I lost more ... maybe cos am breastfeeding too. I didnt put on much too. Say less 10kg only. I was on the bigger side and was overweight b4 pregnancy. Studies shows only maybe 2% of women will regain their pre pregnancyweight. Not to worry too much as health is more impt.
