Depression or mental illness?

Depression or mental illness? My mil dislikes me, we stay tgt and now husband and I are moving out (mil ask to move out). We found a place and we are moving out soon. She is not happy.. idk why. Since 2 weeks ago my slippers outside the house are always not in place. Found out is my mil kicked the slippers away from outside the house. From what I know I think depression doesn't do all this(kick people slipper) but mental illness will. Right? If she hurt me then that's fine. I'm worried about my 4yo girl and 2 month old baby. We are close to moving out. But I'm really scared she will do something to my children when my husband goes to work. #Needadvice #AskingAsAMom

I think she feels you’re stealing away her son because you all are moving out (even though she asked to). Did your husband talks to his mother on why is she doing this? Besides your mil, anyone else at home to supervise your children? I suppose you’re on maternity leave now, try to stick close to your baby if you’re worried.

its been 5 years since she played a victim role. I didn't say anything to my husband about anything she did to me (very long story). my husband talked to her about her behaviour, she and I cold-shoulder we didn't since I'm expecting a 2nd baby. idk how to tell my husband and my fil her behaviour. she is acting very strangely even though we never talk to each other. she wants me to move out but didn't expect my husband will move out with me instead. she wants to make me angry and quarrel with her. I respect my husband, I never once talk back or scold or yell at his mother. but she just don't like me. as you say she is scared .. yes! I will stay in the room with my children's nowadays. but I also need to use the toilet, I'm not sure if she frightened my 2 Months old baby. He jumped up in his sleep and cried. my concern is the children.
