no dear, this is definitely not good for his health, as at this age babies need at least 12 to 14 hours of sleep. please try to help your baby sleep more during the night, by bringing the sleep time ahead. if required, you also go to bed early with him. and if he wakes up at night, avoid indulging him in play. he will soon learn to fall back to sleep. in the day, encourage nap time by reducing the amount of light and sounds in the room. give him a warm bath and a nice massage, so that he calms down.

What I have heard and read is that a baby should sleep for maximum time, as much as 18 hours. Considering the fact that your baby is not even 12 months, only 4 hours of sleep is too less. I think you should discuss this with a paediatrician. http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/Childrenssleep/Pages/howmuchsleep.aspx https://sleepfoundation.org/sleep-topics/children-and-sleep

Yes, it is normal. I have 2 kids and I've experienced different sleeping hours all throughout the day. It's a matter of how you adjust and let your child establish a sleeping pattern until they get used to it. It also depends on their activities for the day that would help determine their sleeping time.

You need to change your child sleeping habit. a child needs sleep at night for their brain to develop. Cut down on the before bedtime activites. After 5pm, cut down on sugar and electronic devices as these keeps the brain active.
