Is it bad to blow dry baby’s hair?

My baby turned 1 and she has a lot of hair. Usually the routine is bathe then nap.. so now that her hair is longer I don’t really want her to sleep with wet hair? My mum says it’s damaging to the hair?? If I use hair dryer. What are your thoughts? Thanks!
