Aside from how your day went and the kids, what you do you discuss at the dinner table with your spouse?

Growing up, I loved going to dinner at a good friend's house because their conversations were just so interesting. They were a very intellectual family, so they would choose a trending news item and discuss that topic exclusively. I always learned a lot, and over time, I made sure that I was well read and up to date with the news just so I could keep up!
