Hi, yes it’s very normal. At 5 weeks, baby can’t tell the difference between day and night. If crying, check for the common things: need for diaper change, hunger, scared. First change the diaper, then swaddle the baby and feed the baby. Most of the time, one of these will help the baby stop crying. Once all these needs are met, baby will usually go back to sleep. Some babies will cry once you put him/her back in the cot. They are insecure and scared. A tight swaddle and holding the baby in your arms usually helps them fall asleep. Put baby into the cot gently after that.
Yes it is very normal. Teach them how to differentiate day and night using the swaddling method. At night, swaddle them tight, and don’t talk to them. In the day, don’t swaddle them, talk to them/ play with them to let them know that it is day time
Thanks so much. Will try
Maybe he is having gassy stomach. massage his tummy and hold his body esp the stomach to your body to give him some warmness. Probiotic biogaia and ridwind helps too
My baby is more active at night time too. She can usually sleep soundly during daytime.
Maybe gassy, hungry, wet diaper, too hot or too cold surroundings
It might be colic. Massage tummy.
yes normal
