My 11 month baby seems to prefer mushy texture as he will keep food eg minced meat, shredded fish/chicken/pork in his mouth so feeding will take a long time , I will end up Not feeding him those food . He likes bread n rice n biscuits.Does ur baby self feed at this age? I cannot tahan the mess when I allow him to try spoon feed as such he doesn't really know how. I guide his hands holding e spoon to his mouth but he will push it away, or just play with the spoon n fling the food everywhere.

Normal. Patience mommy. Its supposed to be messy. And if you give in to him just because he tales a long time. He will pick it up. Either you be patient and let him eat. Or you just serve him.biscuits to fasten the meal time. If i were you ill let him take his time.
