I'm on week 39 day 2. No signs of labour and my last check up, my gynae told me my cervix has yet to open up. Can I just go to the hosp today and get myself induced?

cervix not yet opened up

Just went for my 39 wks appt and my gynae mentioned that my cervix hasn't opened up yet. I'm feeling demoralised. I've been walking and trying to keep myself active but to no avail. I'm afraid to be induced or even go for emergency c sect. Wanted a normal delivery if possible. Any tips mummies?

39 wks tmr and so far, I haven't really feel any menses cramps like or my mucus plug removed. Should I be worried? My gynae also didn't check for any dilation on my week 38 appt.
