Do you have any recommendations on how to treat your child when he is in 'silly' mode? Towards the evening when our son gets tired, he becomes often a bit overexcited, acts less thoughtful, and doesn't listen anymore. Any tips?

Get his attention by speaking in a stern way and showing him u mean business. U may also engaged him in other activities like singing, drawing n colouring, etc ... Bringing her downstairs for a walk around the park is great too.

Our anniversary is next week and my wife is in her 3rd trimester of pregnancy. Could I get some ideas from all mummies out there what you would have wished for as an anniversary gift and dinner while you were pregnant?

We are expecting a second child soon. Once my wife's maternity leave is over, should we pay our helper more, since she will have two kids to look after?

It will be good if you can discuss with your helper or her agency if she is agreeable with the amount of increment or if she is okay to continue her service. I have a few friends paying their helper slightly more when their second child came. One of my friend's helper decided to terminate her service when their second child came as she said she cannot cope with all the duties i.e. household chores, cooking, looking after 2 children.

Is it ok to warm up my sons milk in a plastic bottle in a microwave?

I highly recommend you do not because even if the plastic is microwave safe, studies have shown that microwave radiation can affect the milk in the bottle. The intensity of the radiation is pretty high in microwaves and it could affect baby in the long run. I would recommend an electric bottle warmer but If you don't have one of those, you can use a jug or container of warm water. Place bottle of formula in the jug for no more than fifteen minutes. Any longer and bacteria will apparently occur. Once the bottle is warm enough, give it a shake to ensure that the temperature is even.

Is it ok to give your toddler (2 years) sparkling water? What's too much?

I wouldn't give my child sparkling water. I always carry a bottle of water with me when I go out. Sparling water can give a little one a tummy ache because it is acidic.

We love the new Marine Cove playground at East Coast Park. The playground offers beautiful sea views. And there are five different F&B options to choose from, including plenty of caffeination for tired mamas!
