From KKH subsidized to SGH private

Has anyone changed hospital after growth scan? I was a subsidized pt at KKH. The dr I want is at SGH, Dr Yang as a private pt. So i dont know if i should just leave the apptmts as is at kkh and just go for sgh's. Or do i need to inform kkh first?

Gynae recommendation?

Anyone knows of any private gynae at KKH who can do VBAC?

Hi Wansy! VBAC is something that requires a gynae who is genuinely supportive of it and experienced in managing it, so it is so important you find the right fit. Within KKH private, the names that come up most often among mummies looking for pro-natural and VBAC-friendly gynaes are Dr Samantha Yeo Mei-E and Dr Liu Shuling, both of whom are known for being more open to natural birth options and listening to what mummy wants. When you call to make your appointment, do mention upfront that you are hoping for VBAC as this helps you find out immediately whether the doctor is supportive of it. Some gynaes at KKH do lean more towards intervention so asking early saves you from switching later. KKH as a hospital is also well-equipped to handle VBAC safely with full monitoring throughout labour, which is actually a big plus point for choosing a hospital setting over a private one for VBAC. Baby hosp bill (KKH)

Hi mummies! Any idea if baby’s hospital bill is separate or together with ours? Baby born on 9th March and I’ve received my bill + cheque for prenatals but have yet to see any bill for my baby in health buddy/healthhub app. Wondering if its separate or the same one? Thank you!

Mine was in the same bill! Baby born on 29 Mar this year). There should be a line stating your room rates, and another stating baby’s room rates

Hi mamas! I’m currently a sub patient at KKH and I’m wonderinng if there are any clinics I can walk in to request an adhoc 4D scan? Just to have the picture for memories sake. Doesn’t matter the price 😅 Cos KKH doesn’t do 4d scan. So I just want one picture of baby to keep hehe

I think Thomson Medical does them. Can call in and enquire :)

Anyone else between week 24-25 experiencing hot flushes? Just randomly feeling like my environment is warmer than usual! Cant sleep at night cos I feel so humid and warm even with air con+fan. Sighhh

Price of 1st detailed scan @ 21w5d

Hi mummies! I am a subsidized patient of KKH and here is my bill for my first ever detailed scan at 21weeks5days! Perhaps can be useful for you wondering mummas! No vitamins/medicine to take so this is the price just for the scan + dr consultation to talk about the scan. My husband was allowed in the scanning room all the way which made it even calmer for me. Scan was done around 30-35mins and I was asked to toss and turn alot because my baby was curled up sleeping and refuse to wake up until the last minute 😂 Overall fun experience cos I get to see baby longer than all the previous scans!

20th week/detail scan at KKH ADC

Does anyone know if the husband is allowed into the ADC room for the detailed scan? Having mine soon! Just wondering.

My 15weeks + 5days appointment at KKH

Firstly, I am under the subsidized route of KKH. Also this is my first pregnancy. So today I had my 15 weeks 5 days appointment at KKH and was suprised that I had no scan scheduled. Turns out it is just to hear the baby’s heartbeat (which lasted for only 30 secs) and consultation with a doctor. What a waste of time!!! 😂😂I asked so many questions regarding my previous blood test and doc just said that all is normal and good… and that’s it. I asked for more pre natals cos I finished almost one box of the obimin and fish oil. Guess what? The bill came to a whopping $147.23. Very suprising that only pre natal vitamins costs me this much with the hassle of going down to KKH at 8 in the morning 😂 Oh well. Looking forward to my 20th week then! P.S this is only my 3rd appointment and its already costing me almost $500… I wonder how people have many kids and keep up!! Times are hard 😂

This fee is still ok. Mine is under private and it cost more cause I choose specific Gynae at KKH.

I read online that you’re supposed to ease away from the frequent urination alr since you’re finishing the 1st tri. But i feel like peeing more often than I did in 1st tri. Anyone experience the same? Also having frequent headaches usually around 4pm onwards. Am I the only one :(

Same frequent urination. But minus the headache. Maube u shd check on iron for headache
