Hi my 1 week old baby is always sleepy. I actually had difficulties waking her up every 3 hours for milk. Even when I remove her swaddle, changed her diaper; she’ll just go back to sleep immediately. Even if i managed to let her latch, she’ll fall asleep within 2 minutes. But she pee and/or poop every feed (3hours). My concern is she isnt getting enough milk as I can feel my breast getting softer as day goes by (probably due to the lack of “demand” from my baby).

Once she’s clear of jaundice, just follow her cues for milk. It may not be 3hrly anymore . She wake up for milk when she’s hungry. If you wanna maintain milk supply, maybe can go pump

Mamypoko vs huggies for nighttime

Hi mummies. Previously my son was using mamypoko XL pants diaper (mickey version bought from lazmall-mamypoko) and has no issue from nighttime leaks. Recently i changed it to huggies platinum pants XL and it leaks every night. I thought by “upgrading” his diaper he’ll be more comfortable but ended up crying every night due to leaks. Huggies seems more comfy for him though. The waist band isnt as tight as mamypoko’s. Is the leak due to the diaper size (too big/small) or huggies just isnt for him?

When to stop breastfeeding?

Hi all. My son is coming 19m in a few days. Im still breastfeeding him in the morning and at night. Day time he will be in his child care - and drinks full cream milk. Just wondering. When do I stop breastfeeding?

Toddler loss of appetite

Hi. My Lo (13m) was eating fine last week, milk and puree before infant care and 2 porridge, followed by milk before bed after infant care. But this week his appetite isnt good. He refused to eat his morning puree and after school porridge. Hes playing and sleeping well. Is this normal?

Kids go though different phases so should be OK. Do briNg your child to a pediatrician if you're worried.

Lo not drinking a lot of milk, around 100ml per feed, 3 times daily. But is eating solids really well, 4 meals a day. Should i be worried?

Infant care meals

Hi all. Do you know what was given to your babies at infant care? I was told they only gave porridge once a day; rice cereal once a day and milk 2/3times a day. My son is 1yo and only drink 1 time milk after his afternoon nap (other than morning and night); the rest of the time he’ll be having solid food. Was shocked to know they still feed rice cereal to a 1yo when my son last ate pure rice cereal at 7/8m. And here I am trying to control my son’s milk intake so that he can have more solids while there they are feeding milk to keep the babies full. Is it the same for all ifc?

Is cow’s milk filler than breast milk?

I started giving my 1yo son Marigold full cream cow’s milk. His intake is not as much as when taking in breast milk. Is cow’s milk filler than breast milk?

Milk bottle alternatives

Hi all. My son is starting infant care next month, and I was told to bring milk bottles for feeding. Problem is; he was never bottle fed (direct latch since day 1). [Started with cup at 6m and straw at 10m for his water intake] I do not wish to give him milk bottle at this point because I read online that this is the period to wean off milk bottle instead. May I know what other alternatives can I sub for milk bottles? Snippy cup? Straw? Thanks in advance!

Will baby overeat solid?

My son is 10m old. His appetite suddenly increased when he hits 9m. He will finish whatever is on his bowl. Do I give more food or limit to what he has? My cutting portion for him: 1 full small sweet potato 1/3 - 1/2 carrot; depending on size 1/2 avocado 1/4 tofu 1/2 my palm size pumpkin Usually I will mix 2/3 food into 1 bowl for him. (Eg. 1 sweet potato + 1/4 tofu + broccoli)

Usually they would know to stop when full, could be growth spurt

Peanuts for infant

Hi all. When do you introduce nuts to your baby? And in which form - eg. Peanut butter, oil, etc?

Good to check for allergies first.
