In my experience, the last thing you'd want to do is to have a screaming match with a toddler having a tantrum. I agree, if the kid is not diagnosed with ADHD it is usually a surge of energy. I read about an article that encourages parents to let their child play until they become exhausted because if not it would not be good for the child's health. It's as if you're depriving him of physical development.
