App Tracker Issue

Is it just me or the tracker function of this app hasn’t been working the last few days? I couldn’t record sleep or diaper changes at all. I always get the “oopsie something went wrong” message and nothing gets saved.

Oh that's so frustrating, I would be annoyed too if I couldn't track properly. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, or clearing the cache from your phone settings? A few of us mums had the same issue before and that usually sorted it out, but if it keeps happening you might want to contact their support team directly because it could be a server issue on their end.

Different EDDs in one scan

Can anyone help me decipher why there are three different EDDs in this scan based on HC, AC, and FL? Which one should I follow? In my previous scans it has always either been 4/5 Aug but the 30/31 Jul dates here confused me 😅 #firsttimemom

it’s only an estimate. based on growth it’s normal for edd to shift. follow what ur gynae tells you

I switched to Mama’s Choice non-fluoride toothpaste after I observed that my nausea seemed to be triggered by my usual toothpaste. It works in alleviating the nausea and I feel it cleans my teeth sufficiently.

Budget for raising baby (foreigner)

Any insights on how much it costs to raise a baby for the first 0-18mos in Singapore without government subsidy (i.e., for foreigners)? Trying to prepare for a monthly budget but have no idea how much things cost on average (e.g., diapers, milk, check-ups, meds, etc.)

Wah, this is such a good question to plan ahead for, a few of us were just talking about this recently! From what I've heard around, you're generally looking at somewhere between $13K to $25K for the first year if you're quite careful, but some mums have shared it crept up to $40K+ once you factor in hospital bills, formula, and all the unexpected extras. Infant care alone without subsidy can run you $1,250 to $2,000 a month, so that's easily your biggest monthly hit. On top of that, budget roughly $500 to $1,000 a month for diapers, formula, check-ups, and meds, it adds up faster than you'd expect, especially since you won't get the subsidised rates at polyclinics. One of my mum friends who went through this says the key is to track every category separately from the start, so nothing catches you off guard mid-year!

Gender Reveal - Surprise or Not?

For moms who had a gender reveal party, did you know your baby’s sex beforehand or were you also surprised during the reveal? What are the pros and cons of knowing (or not knowing) beforehand? I kinda want to be surprised but I also don’t want any gender disappointment to show in case the reveal is different from what I’d hoped…

which is more important to you? my #1 i knew beforehand, now my #2 i want a surprise before the party
