Any parents can share with me review of St Stephen primary school?

My friend's son is in St Stephen. She was initially worried as she has read negative reviews when registering for the school (four years back). She still went ahead as they stay near the school. To date, her son is enjoying school and has not had any problems (no bullying issue, the main complaint she has heard). Academic wise, she feel that her son is doing alright. No major complaints.

Bendemeer had 100% passes for PSLE in 2015. They scored higher than the national average in Science, Math, Chinese, Malay and Tamil. 100% passes for Higher chinese and higher tamil For sports, the school is known for Wushu

It's a huge leap from k2 to P1. What are the things that we should start preparing them now ?

Maths as during Kindergarten doesn't emphasis maths so much

Can share how you get your P1 child to do homework and revisions while you are at work? I have tried so many monitoring methods and they do not work well with my boy.

Depend on the childs language of love. For my child it's gifts. I would give them tokens if they have done their homework or assessment books WELL (Not for doing only else they might just give me sloppy work)or full marks for tests. The tokens can be used to exchange for stuff.

Any review of West grove primary?

It's a really good school! And it also has a student care centre in the school. Only con is that it is dual session.

Any parents send their kids to MPM maths at sun plaza or chong pang branch?

My girl joined MPM maths when she was in N2 at Bangkit Branch. I feel the program is very good as in it teaches a very strong math foundation. Teacher will monitor individual student progress instead of whole class which I find it is very important. I withdrew her because no budget for math enrichment as I am no longer working and I am able to coach her myself at home. However, I will let her join back MPM once she enters primary school next year. I have a few friends who are still sending their kids, now K2 to MPM and they are very satisfied with the learning progress. I guess MPM for all branches are the same and thus, it is very much depends on the quality of the teacher at that particular branch.

What are the top primary schools in Sembawang?

Canberra for sure. If you look at the rankings for 2016 - Endeavor still has slots available at 2c supplementary.
