Learning more about autism, my second born son 2year old pleas suspected to be on the spectrum at the age of 15months. All he’s symptoms seems to be so too. Any recommendations of therapy centre? And also milk formula? TYIA

I really feel you on this, it takes a lot of strength to be walking this journey and seeking help early is truly the best thing you can do for your little one. For therapy, it might be worth asking your PD for a referral to KKH or NUH as they have developmental paediatrics teams who can do a proper assessment and point you to the right early intervention programmes like EIPIC. On the milk formula side, I would check with his PD or a dietitian first before switching anything, since every child's needs are different and they can advise what suits him best. You are doing a great job by being so proactive, and this community is here with you every step of the way.

1yr old doing somersault

My girl is slightly over 1 yr old.. Lately she started doing somersaults on bed.. Is it considered to be normal? As I'm scared she may sprain her neck or hurt herself while doing so.. #advicepls #firsttimemom

I really feel you on this, because I was wondering the same thing when my second one came along. A friend of mine actually tried the Yoyo board for her two kids and she said it was quite handy for short outings, her older one could hop on and off easily without her having to manage a double stroller. It does depend on how heavy your older child is and how long your walks usually are, so that is worth thinking about before you decide.

Which powdered milk for 1yr old to also gain weight?

Hi supermoms! Would like your suggestions on which milk (not formula) can I give my 1+ yr old child to transition to and at the same time aids in weight gain? #firsttiimemom #toddler1yroldbaby

Not sure of any non-formula milk that can aid in weight gain…but for young children, definitely don’t give them any low fat milk. FYI: Babies and toddlers need fat in their diets for a variety of reasons, including healthy brain development. So it's usually recommended that kids 1 to 2 years old drink whole milk. Skimmed or 1% fat milk doesn't contain enough fat, so isn't recommended for children under 5.

Virus at school

Hi mummies, need ur opinion. There's 5 covid cases and 1 HFMD case at my 3 years old daughter school Do u think i should sent my toddler to school or just stay at home for the time being ? My LO have been absent for 1 week due to she is not feeling well . Having fever cough flu . Thought of sending her tmr but right now there's 5 virus cases .

Stay at home for the time being. It also gives you the peace of mind knowing she is safe with you at home.

Hfmd cases in Preschool

Hi mummies, will u sent ur 3 years old toddler to school if there is 5 cases of HFMD in her class? Since last weeks her class have alot of HFMD cases and i wonder why they didn't close the preschool.

Question about night feeding

My 20 months old toddler still wakes up at least once during the night for milk. Is this normal?

Hi mummies with two kids with small age gap like 2-3 years, do y’all use 2 strollers when going out ? Or just one stroller one carrier? Can’t decide if to get another stroller!

My first born was 1y3m when I gave birth to my second. I had a double stroller and single stroller. But soon found out that my first born prefers to walk instead. Hence i use a carrier + stroller when we go out. The double stroller was really unused 🤣 Really depends on your kids 🥰

Feedback on little footprints preschool ( woodlands 551 )

Would like to get some feedback on the woodlands 551 branch of this preschool. 🙏

I really feel you on this, it can be so stressful trying to find the right preschool especially when there is not much feedback out there. I don't have direct experience with that specific branch, but a friend of mine did enrol her child there and she said the teachers were quite caring and attentive, and her child settled in pretty well after the first few weeks. Maybe try visiting the centre in person and sitting in for a trial session, that usually gives you a much better feel than any review lah. Trust your gut when you meet the teachers, that really matters a lot.
