yes unfortunately he will. he will internalize it even though he won’t know how to express it. it’ll cause him stress that he cannot process

Question about milk forms suitable for 13 month old

Should i stick to giving my 13 month old boy formula or switch to cow's milk already? understand we should be giving our LOs full cream milk now but formula's skimmed milk right?

While there are some sources recommending fresh milk for toddlers after 12 months, but I will still recommend formula till 24 mths or till my child rejects formula. The nutrients in formulated milk are higher and i felt more assured.

Sharing utensils or straw wif LO

Do u let ur Lo sharing utensil or straw wif grands? I feel it's disgusting for my LO to share the utensils or straw wif my PIL. Especially my FIL is a heavy smoker. I fear that when my LO share he will somehow contact wif the cigratte smell/nicotine. Sometimes i notice my FIL feed my LO with his unwash finger after smoking. This makes me feel vry disgusting. Ever voice out to my spouse, but nth was done. I hope Pil can take care my boy bcoz im working mother, but yet i cannot control how they look after my LO 😩😩 What shud i do...

Hell no! I will voice out to their face. But unless they finally understand the hygienic logic, they are still going to do it when you’re not seeing. Consider sending your lo to infant care?

S26 Formula Milk

I recently see some new ingredients in formula milk like sphingomyelin, 2'-FL and etc. Any idea what are those?

sphingomyelin is for brain enhancement, 2'-FL is prebiotic found in breast milk.

How to get him back on formula again?

I changed my child to drinking from a cup instead of his milk bottle and realised that he totally doesn't like his formula milk anymore. I see him losing weight and can't get him back on S26 formula again. Any tips on how to get him back on formula again?

So my child associated the S-26 milk formula with his bottle. So i still give him the bottle but say that the milk is in the cup now. It works!

Anybody has a toddler girl that prefers daddy so much more than mummy? My one year old girl loves her daddy so much that she only looks to him for comfort, and cries and pushes me away when I try to carry her. I try to play with her and spend time with her but somehow her reaction is just different. Anyone facing the same issue with their daughter? Did they grow out of it eventually or things still stayed the same?

recommendation for dermatologist?

Hi mummies, any one gt recommendation for dermatologist? My LO neck is dry n scaly. Applied fungus cream n QV moisture no use.

Oh, dry and scaly neck that's not responding to QV can be tricky, could be eczema rather than fungal, so you're right to look at a dermatologist instead of just OTC creams. Names that tend to come up a fair bit are Dr Colin Theng at Dermatology Associates (Connexion), Dr Lawrence Khoo, and Dr Tan Hiok Hee, all seem to have a decent track record with children's eczema and atopic dermatitis, though some parents feel waiting times can be a bit long at the more popular ones, so worth calling ahead. A friend mentioned her LO responded really well after seeing a specialist who adjusted the moisturiser routine on top of prescribing treatment, so the consultation itself can be quite informative. That said, every child's skin is different, so do check with your paediatrician first, they can refer you to the right specialist based on your LO's specific condition.
