My lo grew her first tooth at 1 year old.. Now shes 18 mths old and some are still not fully out yet.. Its okay to me. . Doesnt bother her n she cn eat as per normal

Astigmatism in 2 year old

Hi. Recently, my kid had eye checkup and found to have high astigmatism in both eyes, which requires glasses. my kid is only 2.5 years old..too young to wear glasses. is there anyone encountered the same? please share your experience and opinion.

One yr old keep spitting food out

My 12 month old keeps spitting food out recently. she will take a bite then proceed to spit the food out. Is this a phase or what is it?

Hi mummy 😊 yes this actually can be quite a normal phase at around 1 year old. A lot of babies at this stage are still learning textures and chewing, so they will take a bite, realise the texture is unfamiliar, then spit it out and sometimes also just playing with food or testing reactions 😅

Honestly at 3 years old, I’d choose based more on teacher vibe and whether your girl enjoys the class rather than which school is ‘better’ 😄 I’ve heard good things about both, but for toddlers the most important is: patient and warm teachers fun lessons (not too strict yet) convenient location for you trial class chemistry Some kids love structured classes, some prefer more playful dance-based ones. At this age if they pressure technique too much, the kids can lose interest fast. Maybe try trial classes at both first! Also can consider places like ballet academies in community clubs or nearby malls first since toddlers sometimes suddenly decide they hate ballet after 2 months!

Aiyoh I really feel you on this, first time mum life is so overwhelming lah, you're doing great just by thinking ahead for your little one! My friend Sandra actually went through the same thing with her 3-year-old and she swore by Jolly Phonics, she said the songs and actions make learning the letter sounds so much more fun and sticky for toddlers, not just rote memorisation. Someone in my mum WhatsApp group also mentioned that at this age, preschool will cover the phonics properly, so no need stress too much, just focus on casual exposure at home first. My neighbour tried this cute idea where she sent her daughter on a little scavenger hunt around the house to find things that start with a certain sound, like "find something starting with 'ssss'", her girl absolutely loved it and didn't even realise she was learning! Some mums feel the alphabet songs are enough, but a few said their kids got bored of it fast, so mixing in hands-on games really helps keep the momentum going.

Gray lines and white spots on teeth i brush his teeth regularly and thoroughly .. isit a sign of tooth decay?

Mums, my toddler had similar white spots before and it wasn’t a cavity, but I still brought him to a pediatric dentist just to be safe. From the photo it’s hard to tell, but an early dental check can give peace of mind and catch any issues early 😊
