Is it important for babies and toddlers to expose to phonics since young? Can we let them move along with the flow according to the childcare centre syllabus which does not include teaching of reading and numbers.

For my tod, we didn't expose her to phonics, only nursery rhymes. She picked up at her cc fast. Then after that, we followed the tr's advice of intro letterland and the songs from YouTube. For us, academic is not the top of our priority but letting her have her childhood and fun is.

My friend's son has delayed his milestones. He is two but still not walking yet. He also has a lot of digestive issues and hardly makes eye contact. Could he have autism? I suspect it but I don't want to upset my friend.

Just tell her to have his son checked by a Developmental Pediatric to see if there are any delays. If there's none, then thank God. If there is, then thank God, at least now she knows and appropriate intervention will be done.

What's the safest treatment for syringoma for kids? My little girl is 4, turning 5 this July.she has one in her right eye lid. She had it about a week ago.

u can get 1 at the VivoCity toy r us inside there got a little shop who help kids to cut hair ..there got sell alot of brands

any mummy LO CC closed completely due to the outbreak of HFMD? if yes wats d max cases before they started to close dwn.

According to the MOH website, childcare centres or kindergartens with the following triggers will closed: 1) When the transmission period > 24 days with number of cases > 16 OR 2) Transmission period > 24 days with attack rate > 23% Also, I've heard from my friends who worked in child care centres, generally, if there are 8-10 cases of HFMD, the centre will be closed down. https://www.moh.gov.sg/content/moh_web/home/diseases_and_conditions/h/hand_foot_mouth_disease.html

My girl is very impulsive, has slight anger management issues and talks alot. She is 8yrs old now and doesnt stop talking. Do you think she might be suffering from ADHD?

We're deciding between Mindchamps and Pat's Schoolhouse for our 18 mth old son. Both are pretty convenient though expensive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

I like pats schoolhouse due to the bilingual immersion program. Mind champs is great if you want to train your child for primary 1 singapore education
