NUH Antenatal Package Price

Hi mummies! Am currently seeing a private gynae, but the fees are *faint* so am thinking of switching to NUH private after my next appt at 20 weeks. I've been trying to call NUH to enquire about the antenatal package price, but the call centre cannot provide details and I've emailed but they're taking a while to reply. Any mummies here have the updated package price that you can share? Hope to make a decision before my next appt. Much appreciated! ❤️

Around $1.2k to $1.3k, depending on whether you're seeing a senior doctor or not. Covers all the doc consultations from week 20 till birth, and the wk 32 detailed fetal scan. Doesn't cover anything extra, nor post natal visit btw.

Area around incision still sore after 6 weeks

Is it normal for the area around incision to still be sore even after 6 weeks ? Esp when touched or press. Like the top and bottom around incision/around pubic. And sometimes the area around incision and incision itself feels “crampy” every now and then, esp after sitting or laying in bed for too long eg sleeping. Cause they say by 6 weeks you should already recover

I believe by 6 weeks you may feel better to carry out daily life, but I don’t think it’s fully healed. We were cut layers down, it’s going to take time to recover.

Will ur bra size go back to normal?

Hi, wanted to check with mummy who have given birth, will your bra size ever go back to normal? I’m 7 weeks pregnant now and all my bras are too small for me, hence I was wondering if I should I dispose of them or keep for after next time, if my bra size goes back to usual.

I don't have a confirmed source for you, but your best bet for today is probably to try the bigger Challenger or Courts outlets, since they usually carry Apple accessories. You could also check Sim Lim Square or even a neighbourhood phone accessories shop, as they sometimes stock AirTag holders and straps. Call ahead before heading down so you don't waste a trip lah.

No symptoms at week 5

Hi ladies, I found out I am pregnant when my period did not come. Haven’t felt any significant symptoms since then and certainly don’t feel that I’m pregnant… currently at week 5 and waiting patiently for gynae visit at week 6. Is this normal?

Very heavy period after giving birth

Is it normal that once you got your period back after giving birth, (not lochia) it’s very heavy. I don’t remember having this heavy period before.

Is it my food intake or somethg? I am subsidies gynae doesnt explain it tho.

Means there's a chance of pre-eclampsia which is risky for your pregnancy. I had protein in my urine too and pre-eclampsia scare but it was negative. Next appt do ask your gynae about it.

GDM - Freestyle Libre

Got diagnosed with GDM unfortunately. Predicted it since I have a family history of diabetes. Yet to see the specialist but has anyone used Freestyle Libre as a way to track glucose instead of finger pricking? Extremely scared of blood.

I also have a family history of diabetes so I completely understand the worry, and the Freestyle Libre is worth asking your specialist about because it is a continuous glucose monitor that scans instead of pricking, which many mums with GDM find much easier to manage day to day. That said, your specialist or the KKH diabetes team will be the best person to advise whether it is suitable for GDM monitoring specifically, since some clinics have their own protocols on what devices they accept for tracking. It might be good to bring it up at your first specialist appointment and ask directly, so you can weigh up the cost and whether it fits what they need from your readings.
