Hi mummies, can i check if anyone seen De Ben before? How is he? I’ve heard that he doesnt usually perform routine blood test until week 12 together with the down syndrome test. Which means that for the first 2 appt, no blood test is taken just scan? Is that correct? Also at which week should i Start looking for gynae? Thanks!!

I haven't seen Dr Ben personally, but a friend of mine did and she said he was quite thorough and patient during consultations, never made her feel rushed even when she had lots of questions. On the blood test timing, different gynae do have different approaches, so it is worth just calling his clinic to confirm what his usual protocol is before you book, so you know what to expect at each visit. Most mummies I know start looking for a gynae around week 6 to 8, early enough to get that first scan done but not so late that you are scrambling for an appointment.

Which week should i see a gynae?

Hi mommies, I’ve just got tested positive and was wondering when is a good time to arrange an appt with the gynae? Dont want it to be too early as the scan might not show anything.. thanks!

Can I drink lemon water?

Hi fellow mummies:) I used to drink alot of water, but since preggy water not so appetising anymore but I feel so dehydrated. Can I ask if its ok to drink like water with a slice of lemon? Or is it too acidic? Or pls suggest any other creative ways to flavour water :)

34weeks and if can get HL

Hi mummies ! I am currently @ 34 weeks and I’ve been having difficulties to walk around with cramps on my belly and legs . Not mentioning my breathlessness all the time . Do you think it’s possible to get HL? And also i wonder is 35weeks consider possible for labour ? #firsttimemom #firstbaby #advicepls

Is it normal for baby to move less at 37+ weeks?

Usually after I press my belly baby will move but these few days it’s quite different, like have to press more then get a small response. All this while baby only moves at certain times of the day.

Yup they did say there might be reduced movement as you are nearing to edd as they dont have much space to move already as theyre already big. However if you noticed significant reduced movement best to go to any clinic or hosp so they can do a scan

Uterine prolapse

What should I do if I suspect I have uterine prolapse. Currently almost 10 weeks pregnant? I can feel the bulge. Help!😭

Linea nigra/ dark line on tummy, will it fade?

I gave birth mid sept, may i know will the dark line in the middle of our tummy, linea nigra, fade ? And how long does it take to fade ? Or will it stay this way? #firsttimemom

High protein and creatinine levels

I'm 14 weeks pregnant now. My gynae arranged for a urine test as my dip test detected excess protein. My protein and creatinine levels came out higher than the acceptable ranges. As my blood pressure has consistently been normal and I don't have any UTI/kidney failure symptoms, my gynae reassured me that it might be contaminated by vaginal discharge and arranged another urine test for my appointment next month. Can't help but worry 😭anyone in a similar situation?
