Recommendations for NUH gynae

Hi Mummies, I cannot find much reviews on NUH gynaes. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you!

I totally understand the struggle of trying to find good gynae reviews, it really is not easy to find specific ones for NUH lah. I went through the same thing when I was looking for a gynae for my second pregnancy and ended up just asking around in my mother's group. A friend of mine actually saw a gynae at NUH and said the experience was quite positive overall, the doctors were thorough and she felt well taken care of throughout her pregnancy. It might also be worth calling NUH directly to ask which doctors have availability, as sometimes the clinic staff can give you a sense of who is a good fit based on your needs. Hope you find someone you are comfortable with soon, that really makes such a big difference to the whole journey.

Change in due date

Anyone has the same situation that the EDD change? Based on my 1st day last period should be 3 Feb and supposed to be 8 weeks but just their estimation. 2 weeks ago my edd is 15 Nov, doctor say about 5+6 weeks. This week changed to 20-22 Nov. Doctor say smaller than his expectation, now seems to be 6 weeks only. But baby still did grow from last scan. But I believe I conceive during 13 to 22 Feb only. So what's right what's wrong? I'm confused and worry.

EDD on scan will change thru out based on baby’s growth and it’s normal. You can just follow the first EDD😊. I gave birth 3 days after my first EDD.

glucose tolerance test is draw blood or poke small hole on finger to test?

I can't imagine having to draw tubes of blood within 2 hours. One before drinking glucose and one hour after drinking.

3 tubes :) Fasting, 1 hour & 2 hour.

fatigue during pregnancy

hi moms, i wonder if what i'm feeling is normal? from tri 1 up until now (EDD april/ early may 2024) i always feel so tired almost all the time. wak eup tired, can barely do any sport/ excercise. my parents and in laws said this is normal but i don't think it is... people said i look so pale. i want to go to doctor but husband said no need. what should i do?

perhaps can check with your gynae at the next checkup for peace of mind

Are they unhappy and show you face when you are always taking leave and mc very often for your gynae checkup? Especially doing the first trimester

Help in calculating pregnancy weeks!

Anyone can help calculate my pregnancy weeks? Hello! I’m currently pregnant according to the pregnancy test kits but I’m confused by how I should be calculating the pregnancy weeks because my period has always been irregular (usually 40+ days) so it should be inaccurate to calculate based on last period? According to my period tracking app I should be having my period on 12 March Some info… my last period was on 26 January. Intimate on 25 Feb & 10 March 😂 First tested very very faint positive on 17 March with clear blue ultra early. Took the clear blue digital test 20th March and was 1-2 weeks pregnant. Took again on 27th March and it already became 3+ weeks pregnant 🤨 Any inputs will be appreciated! Thank you.

If you see a private gynae the receptionist should be able to advise you:) I called up mine last time and they asked the date and menstrual cycle and advised accordingly when to see gynae.. by estimation too

Feeling frustrated

Ftm here. Due in Jun. I have already paid deposit for a confinement many with an agency and in the process of hiring a helper. Both husb and me are working full time and our parents are sickly. So we have no help at all. Been reading reviews on nanny and helper and now thinking if I should just risk it and DIY instead of taking the risk that I might have 2 more trouble instead. My husband is the lazy, unhygienic type. He can't even wash anything properly. Caught him not using any detergent when washing utensils. He just rinse his cup with water. My nepresso milk frother had stains after he claimed he had washed it. I am not confident of the helper although interviewed her twice. She has a child but her child was brought up by her mum as she went to another state to work one month after giving birth. Lastly I feel that the house is so small already.. 90sqm. It is starting to get so cluttered with all the baby stuff. How can we accommodate 3 more pax...

The first month can be tough for FT parents, especially the night feedings. You might want to have help if your husband is unreliable. Possible to interview another helper?

How often do you all see the gynae during 1st trimester?

Feeling abit paranoid due to light bleeding which comes and goes. Gynae would say increase the dosage of duphaston when bleeding and reduce when stop. My next appt is like 1 mth's time.

normal pregnancy is about 1m to 1.5m, but gynae will always advise u to go back earlier if you need!
