What are the benefits of a C-section (for the mum)?

Off the top of my head, a major benefit for a woman to go through elective c-section would be having some form of control over the birth of her baby, in an otherwise unpredictable experience. Knowing the date of your baby's birth will allow you to plan more easily for family help, work leave, and other post-baby needs. However, like everything else, there can be complications with c-section and it is not a perfect situation. Healing takes a longer time since it is surgical precision and no matter how well you planned your c-section, anything can happen and having flexible back-up plans will help.

I'm currently 23wks pregnant. Was invited to cousin's bb full month celebration.Wanted to go very much but heard that according to Chinese custom...best not to go as may not be good for me/bb. Is there such a thing or custom or "clashes" stuff? Will it really be bad for my bb?Felt it's superstitious but just want good for my bb at the end. Any comments?

There will be thousands and one superstitions that we probably already broke before the child is born. It depends how much u choose to believe.

I had a minor surgery, remove an infection abscess around abdomen area on skin, as it's quite painful, the Doctor prescribed Panadol and kept saying is safe for pregnancy. I took one as I could not bear the pain but I'm very worried of my baby in womb. Is it harmful to pregnancy?

I myself am taking panadol for my recurring headaches from time to time. Gynae was the one who prescribe it to me anyway. As long as it's the regular panadol, nothing to worry about, as long as you don't exceed the maximum dosage.
