Any baby manual to read before the kiddo arrives? Do's and don'ts, troubleshooting, answers to common questions? Thanks!

Manual? Wow! No specific manual I would say. Do lots of read up either online or you can actually take the opportunity to get to the library, get some aircon in this super hot weather and read in the comfort. There are so much more choices of books available in the library. Check out the parenting section.

I am a high risk mom to be for the first time. Giving birth at age 40 is taunting and being clueless of what will go on during labor scares me. Can anyone share with me if you had experience giving birth at 40? What are the physical challenges?

Has any mummies experience the newborn baby crawl during "skin-to-skin" contact right after delivery? Can you describe the experience?

Due to emergency conditions, my wife has to travel from one country to another via plane. She is pregnant and can deliver a baby at anytime. I am worried, what if she deliver's a baby in plane? Are there enough medical facilities available for baby delivery and what will be the nationality of the baby?

For nationality, most common law is that your baby "can" claim citizenship of the country where the airline you are flying in is registered. example, if you're Singaporean and flying in Lufthansa airline, which is a german airline, your baby can claim a Germain citizenship. But it all depends because many countries don't follow this rule. And with facilities to delivery a baby, most of the international airliners today have facilities and trained hostesses to help in delivering a baby in-flight

Cold stuff during pregnancy

can i eat ice cream/cold stuff during pregnancy? I've heard of mixed comments on this...thanks!

sure u can. but if u have gdm, please dont take ice cream frequently. about cold drinks, theres nothing to worried about.

I just found out that I miscarried. I am 11 weeks pregnant. I feel devastated. Why me? Why is God so unfair. What did I do to deserve this? I have been trying for so long and I followed all the rules and now I am left with nothing.

So sorry about your loss. It takes a person who has miscarriages to understand what you are going through. Take care of your body for now and perhaps find and join a support group or professional counsellor to help in this season of grief and pain?

Any pregnant mummies with excessive perspiration at the chest area? it is bothering me very much!

Unfortunately, excessive perspiration during pregnancy is one of the common pregnancy symptom. It is typically caused by changes in the hormones (yes, again!!). It will go off with time when your hormones start to regulate themselves again (however, that is likely to be when you start ovulating again). In the meantime, try: - Staying hydrated throughout the day (drinking fluid can help cool the body temperature and minimize sweating) - Wear loose, lightweight, "breathable" clothing - Ensure good ventilation in the room - Stay in air-conditioned places - Use talc-free powder to help absorb excess moisture I will also carry wet wipes and a small towel in my bag when I go out.
