My wife is expecting our first child and she is currently around 4 weeks into the pregancy.. she went for a scan but we could not see any baby but there the presence of the GS and YS... the doctor told us to come back for scan in 2 weeks as most likely its still growning and too small to be seen... has any mummies have similar experience? My wife is a bit worried though i always try to keep her positive...

congrats! wait till 6weeks and usually they will do vaginal scan by then to check! just take folic acid okay 🤗

Is taking bird nest during pregnancy necessary? Is it scientifically proven that it helps mum and the newborn.

No proven. But I still consume from week 28 onwards. Once a week.

Hi mummies, those pills or injections to "secure" the womb or baby during pregnancy, are they good or do they have any side effects? Gynae is suggesting that maybe I might want to consider the options as I kept having bad cramps as though I'm gonna deliver. In my 25 weeks now.

I had contractions as early as 5months. I had to take hormones pill orally from then till i was 36 weeks. Its call utrosgen.

Hi mummies, is it common/normal to pee out when you sneeze or cough during pregnancy? I am experiencing it with no2 now but not with no1, or is it only with 2nd pregnancy onwards will encounter such issues?

Yes its common. Every pregnancy is different.

Hi mummies, is cord stem cells necessary? Or just cord blood will be good enough? If I would to buy both, the cost is quite substantial.

I did not do either. On a monthly basis too costly for me. Guess it's to each its own. Only found out about this through my second pregnancy.

Hi mummies, recently heard that spectra 9 plus breast pump is suitable only for women with sensitive nipple. Women with normal nipple and insists on using spectra 9 plus breast pump will cause milk supply to drop drastically? Is that true? I love the spectra 9 plus because of its outlook and lightweight. Seems like I have to give it a miss since I suspect I should be of normal nipple

Hi there. I didn't hear of such thing and among the mummies in my chat group 9+ was a v popular model and a few of my friends and I also using it. It did not make our supply drop but u have to know that it is not as powerful at the S1 which is a hospital grade. So if u compare the "suction" u use for S1 and S9, u have to use 1-2 level higher. If use the same level of suction, it can take longer to empty the boobs - then some pple pump by "time spent pumping" so they pump lesser out and then the supply will drop. So as long as u adjust the suction high enough, u will be able to get out the same amount of milk in the same time frame. With that in mind then u are safe :)

It is ok to eat mutton during pregnancy? There's some Chinese myths not to eat mutton during pregnancy. Asking as I have craving for mutton soup.
