Hi, any good and affordable hairstylist / hair salon to recommend at Jurong area? I'm a SAHM with two kids. I told hubby I wanna go for rebonding and haircut , to my usual hairstylist in a hair salon that she opens in Bedok. I always go to her cos she is good and she knows exactly what I want , no need to explain too much. But because I'm staying at Jurong west, I need time to travel down to Bedok and rebonding and haircut also need time.. I have no other help except hubby. But hubby says he is not confident to handle two kids especially one of them is jus 1 year old .. so he ask me to cut down travelling time by going to nearby salon. So that I can come home earlier to help him with the kids.. any good recommendation?another factor is the cost.. my hairstylist charges me $150 for rebonding and haircut. So I hope to find something roughly around the same price cos I'm now not working so don't wanna overspend :(

How do you teach your kids to do chores?

I'm always doing household chores. I'll also make sure my boy puts his dirty laundry in the machine. He often helps me wash the toiletas well.

We hired our helper through an agency. After 6 months and 3 days (3 days past the agency's replacement period), she told us she wants to find another employer. She requested that we don't send her back to the agency we hired her from, but let her seek out another agent on her own. The time frame she needs to find a new employer is 2-3 weeks. Is this request fair? Do we need to return her to the agency we employed her from or is she free to seek out new employers on her own? We are first time employers and don't want to run into any issues with the agency / MOM. Thanks!

If there's anything, just inform ur maid agency and bring her back to where u engage her from.

Hi mummies, do you feel you are at 'losing end' being a FTWM? Will your company prefer giving promotion opportunities to the singles instead?

Yes mine will. Mummies are put in freezer or cold storage during promotion as they put family 1st and not their job 1st. That's how some companies feel la.
