Husband asked me to eat chicken

I’m 8 months pregnant now and am on HL currently. Gynae mentioned to me to eat more protein and to eat more as baby requires it after she checked the measurements. As I’m home right now, grocery expenses increased as I bought more nutritious food for myself eg avocado, fish, veg. It was roughly $600-$700 per month and now I have stayed home for a week and have used around $200 on groceries for this week. (Helper, me and one child are at home for lunch and dinner). My husband was shocked to hear that I spent $200 already for a week and was concerned about the way I spent the money to eat. But to me, I thought that it was the last month for me to take care of my body and baby before baby pops next month. The only difference for the expenses going up is me, a pregnant mum staying at home for lunch and eating more meat and vegetables than previous. My husband then suggested me to just eat chicken or find other ways to stay within budget. But do I really need to do that? I have not been eating well for all the previous months and this is the only month I get to stay home and just really nourish myself and my husband is asking me to control the expenses. My food is all home cooked, I only eat sardines more frequent as my sardines are high in calcium and salmon once every week. Shouldn’t husband pamper the wife more at this period of time? It’s only the last month to go.

Hi mommies. Just curious, do your close friends check on you after giving birth? If yes, how often? I’m asking because my close friends of 10-11 years don’t bother checking on me during my pregnancy and after giving birth (me and baby). To be honest, a part of me feel like giving up this friendship. #firsttimemom

Hi Mummies! Can you share what’s inside your hospital bag with me? EDD in January (If I do naturally) in December (If I do C-section). This is my first pregnancy. So I need to understand what I should bring or not. My plan is to give birth in TMC. Anyway, you can share your experience too. Thank you so much!

Post Partum acne

Hello all mummies, currently I’m 5 months post partum and just last month I developed bad acne on the back of my neck. I saw doctors, GP, dermatologists, nothing helped much except antibiotics (doxycycline). I had finished with the dosage already for a week or so and the acne is slowly coming back. It is also worse when I’m ovulating. Want to check if any mummies encountered the same issue post partum and if so; any solutions? 🥹 P.S. I also stopped using any hair products that might cause my neck to develop the acne (I.e. heavy hair mask, hair oil, tonic spray) Many many thanks in advance 🥹

I experienced postpartum acne too, mummy, although mine was on my jawline and neck 😭 My dermatologist said the hormonal fluctuations after birth can be quite intense, and I noticed it got worse around ovulation too. For me, it improved gradually as my hormones settled, but it took a few months. Since yours seems to respond to antibiotics but comes back, maybe it's worth discussing hormonal-related treatments with your dermatologist. Hope it gets better soon, mummy ❤️

Confinement dizziness

Hi mom I’m currently in my confinement suddenly feel super dizzy walk abit then want faint like that I’m also currently breastfeeding anyone have the same experience? #advice #firsttimemom #breastfeeding #dizziness

Yup! I remmeber PP im always dizzy due to loss of blood during birth and you just give birth so your body is weak esp now youre breasfeeding! Sometimes i would drink lots of milo or red date longan and eat more for that energy. Can also get medicine from doc for dizziness

Baby size during first trimester

Hi mommies, I’m a little anxious and I’m hoping to get some assurance here 🙏🏻 I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant. More specifically when I went for my US last Friday, I was 8 weeks 1 day. Today the baby measures 8 weeks 3 days instead of 8 weeks 5 days. I’m worried that the baby isn’t growing as well as she should. Does anyone has any experience with this ? Is it because I am not eating enough for baby to grow? Also to share - I’ve had 2 MC in the past 6 months so anything abnormal now is making me very very anxious … 😥

scan is only a best estimate... my calc & the scan has always been a couple of days off but as as gynae didnt raise any red flag 💕
