Hi mummies, my daughter having high fever and it fluctuates for a span of 2 days. And sway enough when I want to bring her to the clinic they are closed especially those nearby. She is having 38-39 degrees fever. Is there any remedies or suggestion to bring her fever down? What should I do? Please help me!

I feed paxmol (paracetamol) then spam the fever patch on baby’s forehead, back of neck, chest and back. I change the pads every few hourly. Alternatively can use tele consult like doctor anywhere or dcmed.

Wife constantly wants to divorce me

For the other dads out there, do you guys face your wife constantly asking to divorce, especially in the 3rd trimester? It feels hard knowing that you try your best to give it your all only for her to say things like “its not enough”, “why am I not your priority?”, “you are not the same person I knew”. I know that they are going through some hormonal changes but it still hurts when your wife says things like these. Its not like anything major happened (to me at least). How do you guys cope with this feeling? #advicepls #pleasehelp #firstbaby #dad

Just remember, most pregnant women can’t think right sometimes due to a lot of stress, discomfort, pain and worries in their head. Give her a hug, and tell her even if she’s divorcing you, you will still be there for her. Tell her silly jokes, tell her you are hurt and u care. She doesn’t mean a word when she said those things, marriage is hard, don’t give up great conversations and just trust a happy family is in the making. You’ve got it

Hi hi! I’m considering the below few options for my toddler for playgroup. 1) ELFA (Tampines) 2) Artemis Preskool (Tampines) 3) Little Skool-House (Temasek Poly) Any reviews that you can share with me? Appreciate it! 🙏🏻

Hey! For Little Skool-House at Temasek Poly, from what I've heard the staff are really warm and responsive, and the classrooms are bright and spacious, seems like a solid, established option with a good track record. Artemis Preskool in Tampines is relatively newer so reviews are still building up, though a friend whose kids are there said she would highly recommend it, so that's a good sign. ELFA in Tampines does seem to have more of a Chinese-focused curriculum, so worth checking if that suits what you're looking for or not. Overall I'd say LSH has the most established reputation of the three, but if location and feel matter more to you, Artemis seems to be winning parents over so far, maybe visit all three and see how the environment feels in person!

The "pump today for tomorrow" method really helped many mums I know, basically your baby drinks whatever you pumped the day before, so you're always one step ahead and it takes the pressure off building a huge freezer stash. The key is keeping your pump sessions at work timed as close as possible to when your baby would normally feed, because your body responds to consistency more than anything else. Some mums find it manageable, though a few mentioned the hardest part is not the pumping itself but the washing and sterilising on top of night feeds, it does add up, so be realistic about what you can sustain. If you can, start practising with the pump a few weeks before you return so your body is already used to it and you have a small buffer stock ready. Any amount you manage is genuinely worthwhile, so don't be too hard on yourself if the routine shifts a little once you're back at work.

Hi all daddy & Mummy, i wish to check, i was planning to put my wife on B1 ward, may i know how much is it estimated? Regarding Medisave, let say the medisave claimable is like $2750, but my medisave only left like $1900, can i still use my medisave and pay the rest with cash?#pleasehelp #advicepls

Pardon me if it is incorrect, if I correctly remember, you can use Medisave, Medishield then Insurance to cover for all cost. Unless, this is otherwise with the changes time to time then cash is involve. However, if you are unsure, definitely better to direct enquire when you do registration.
