Pimple-like bumps

Mummies, any idea what these are, should it be a concern? It appeared yesterday. On lower eyelids. I googled and it seem like neonatal acne aka baby acne. Any mummies can firm on this or your LO has experience it?

It can be heat rash or baby acne. Newborn skin much more sensitive hence not everything like powder, moisturiser can be put on their skin. Their skin is still fresh, soft and under going hormonal process. This is because they have been in the sac for pretty long. This is common in most babies.

Sleeping baby

During at night, do u mums sleep also when ur newborn/ baby in early months also sleep together? I just need opinion

Yes, when my NB sleep, ill rest because nothing much I can do at early stage or when I have yet to recover. However, when I cant sleep then Ill have my me time alone like pumping, reading, netflix, etc. It is the same when I am done with confinement too. My routine will be more less the same but of course including house chores.

Formula milk

Hi, my baby is currently 5 months old and recently we started feeding her fm, first night we fed her NTUC house brand because my cousins’ kids are all drink it n they recommended however my girl seem to be allergy to it, red patches started to grow on her body and she can’t stop scratching herself. Second night we tried to feed her nan but she’s still rejecting it but this time round only her mouth area grew red patches. Today I added one scoop to my bm and she drank 100ml only. Her usual intake is about 180-190. #pleasehelp #advicepls

My kids get their protein (eg steam meat/fish), carbohydrates (eg porridge/noodles) and vitamins (eg fruits/ yogurt) at every meal. They also drink formula milk at least twice a day to supplement their diet.

When did your LO started holding their bottles?

My LO is turning 10 months in 6 days time. I have been trying to get her to hold her bottle since 6 months old, till now she still refuses to hold her own milk bottle…. There’s no issue with her grip as she can hold her water bottle and training cup well (with or without handles). It’s just the milk bottle that she doesn’t want to hold. Anyone experienced the same thing? 😅 Everytime I try to position her hands and I let go, she will take the bottle and fling it in the air then laugh 🤦🏻‍♀️. #pleasehelp #firsttimemom #firstbaby

Sending child to infant care

Recently the infant care has a outbreak of HMFD cases. The school has not been very responsive nor update me whether has the cleaning work been done or not. I’m very worried of sending my girl(12mo) back to school because just 3 weeks ago she caught the similar HMFD virus and was very sick. Can anyone give me some advice. #firsttimemom #pleasehelp

Make other arrangement for time being as such of the rising cases of covid or HFMD. Or you can send her on alternate days. The school would usually send notes via Little Lives of the student infected with HFMD or Covid cases. To which then, it is up to you to send or not if you think the rising cases can cause other kids affected too. Having said that, mask will still be on and maintain good hygiene as well as good immunity to avoid getting sick often.

Fussy 12 month old

My daughter is now 12 month old. She is generally a fussy baby. She gets upset and cranky easily. I feel like there are more days that she's in a bad mood rather than good mood. But when she's good, she's really good! It can be quite hard to please her. Lately she's been more active so when we go out, she doesn't like sitting on the pram. Before this she enjoyed being carried in her carrier but now she doesn't really like it and wants to be free. She has not started to walk but crawls well. It is very hard to manage her. Tbh, I still have breakdowns cos I can't cope and manage well. It really isn't easy. I can't help but to see how other people can manage their child well. They really make it look easy. My parents have 7 grandkids and they do agree that my daughter is slightly fussier. Also, it doesn't help that my daughter is very clingy towards me. When I'm around, she just wants me to be by her side even when she's playing independently. I don't know what to do. Some days I just feel like I'm about to go insane. Please help me.

hi mummy! believe your daughter is at the exploring stage and super active, guess that's pretty normal as well. please get help when you feel tensed up. get your parents/friends/ hub to help out 1 or 2 hours and take a short break. get your favourite bubble tea, do things that keeps yourself happy. happy mummy, happy baby..something that I've strongly believed in!
