At which week will newborn’s skin stopped peeling ?

Where to put diaper cream on baby

Hi mummies, FTM here with a week old baby boy. Where do you exactly put diaper cream on your baby? Is it the whole butt cheeks including butthole ? Do you also put it in between their legs? And diaper creams are all super thick is it normal to put it in patches on baby’s butt like its not even, like its white all over. Do i apply after every diaper change ? And do i remove the previous balance of diaper cream before applying again or just apply over it And why is it hard to wash off the remaining of the diaper cream when giving baby a bath, do i need to use a cloth to rub it ? Im using sudocreme and pureen alternate

Baby keep spitting milk

Hi mummies, my baby is on full formula, past few days she keep spitting milk frequently after feed. Sometimes abit sometimes quite alot. Is it normal? Is it because of overfeed? Or need to burp more? Sometimes even after burping also same thing. But the she never puke out like fountain She started off with 30ml when in hospital and now 11 days old we try to increase gradually till now 50ml per feed. Or is it too much for newborn? Cause as per paediatrician, according to his weight, he may consume 60ml.

Every baby’s intake is diff. Try to reduce the amount to see if it gets better.

Baby hungry after an hour

My 10 days old baby currently on full FM, 50ml per feed. We usually feed him every 2 - 3hr but sometimes,especiallg at night, after an hour he’s already crying for milk. Can we still give him but smaller amount ?

Yes you can. However maybe you can slightly increase the scoop. Example : Dulac brand - 2 scoops, 60 ml, 8 times of feeding. You may change according to the needs of your baby. Usually FM can make a baby full. It can also be due to upset tummy, uncomfortable due to adjusting to the new environment therefore he wakes up. So maybe you can make slight adjustment to feeding and see if there's changes instead of feeding him 50 ml and thereafter 1 hr gap another 20 ml and then another 20 ml. It will be inconsistent.

Baby feed only when crying after midnight

Im a FTM, and my baby is currently 9 days old. He’s on formula milk fully and feed every 3hrs. However sometimes to keep our sanity at night, as he would not sleep at all once he’s awake at night till daylight, we would feed him every 3 hours day to night but after midnight, we would only feed him if he wakes up and cry, can be every 4 hours or so. So far he’s still slowly gaining weight. His jaundice is still within normal range of 191. Is it ok? #firstbaby #FTM

Rejecting milk

Hi mummies, my LO is 7.5 mths and he is rejecting his milk completely but has no issue when i give him pacifier, solid or water in a bottle. He's teethiing and i tried to give cold milk but still he reject it.. He will be crying and push away his bottle when i try to feed him. Gave him gripe water but still it doesnr help How do i get my son to drink his milk? #pleasehelp

Oh mama, we went through almost the exact same thing, my son did this around the same age and it was so stressful! What helped us was trying different bottle teats (we switched to a softer, slower-flow one) because the sucking motion during teething can cause gum pressure that makes the usual teat uncomfortable, even if he's fine with a pacifier since that requires less suction force. My friend actually brought her baby to a PD at KKH when this happened and the doctor mentioned that sometimes it is not just teething but also a combination of things like mild tummy discomfort or even the baby starting to prefer solids over milk at this stage, so do not assume it is purely the teeth. One thing that did NOT work for us, honestly, was the cold milk trick, baby still rejected it, but some mums swear by offering milk more frequently in smaller amounts throughout the day rather than sticking to a fixed schedule, so the baby does not feel pressured. Worth checking in with your own PD though, because if the rejection goes on for more than a few days it is good to rule out anything else going on physically.

2months tummy time

How often you do tummy time for 2 months old? Googled and recommended 20-30 mins a day? That’s a lot my ger hates tummy time😅 Anyone not doing tummy time at all?

10 to 15 mins is enough. You can do longer as they grow

Room temp milk instead of warm

Instead of warm or hot milk, can we use room temperature water for baby’s formula milk?

To me, as long as milk is not cold or not too hot for baby.

Newborn sneezing & mucus/snot in nose

Is it normal for newborn (neonatal), a week old, to be constantly sneezing? And if they have mucus/snot in their nose what should we do ? I have sterimar and nasal aspirator but too scared to use cause he’s too small. #firstbaby #firsttimemom
