Will baby know im the mother

I am still recovering from c section, and most of the time I’m on my bed recovering (2 weeks post) my husband will be the one handling baby. MIL would help out too. I have stopped pumping (not able to latch), and baby is on formula bottle feed. Will baby not know I’m the mother ? 😔 since I dont always hold the baby and babies would usually bond with the mother during breastfeeding I’m so scared baby wont recognise me or my smell and won’t know im the mother. Cause baby would most of the time calm down when my husband hold him, and would continue crying when i hold him. Im scared once my husband’s paternity finish and my MIL back to work, im alone with baby, i wont be able to handle or calm down the baby. And baby would continue crying for hours.

Still hungry after feed

Currently feeding my 12 days old baby 40ml of formula milk. If after every feed he’s still smacking his lips, or mouth like finding something, does that mean he’s still hungry and i need to slowly increase the intake ?

you can try increasing 10ml to see if he takes

Baby hair oil

Do you use baby hair oil? My lo got this dry scalp, not a lot but have then i notice got white white dropping or stuck in her hair, it is like dandruff If use baby hair oil which brand will u recommend?

it’s likely cradle cap. i use amazing ammar

Lactogen - how is it

Any of your newborn/baby still drinking lactogen from birth ? How is it ? And did baby gain weight from it ?

A few of us in my mum circle have tried Lactogen for our newborns and most had pretty good experiences, steady weight gain and no major fussiness, and one mum mentioned her baby filled out nicely after just one tin which was encouraging to hear. The formula seems to mix really smoothly too, so babies tend to take to it without much fuss. That said, a couple of mums did mention their little ones had some constipation and slightly slower weight gain, so it really does depend on each baby's tummy. Overall most would say it is decent value for the price, but just watch how your baby responds in the first few weeks and adjust if needed!

Change diaper before or after feed

Hi mommies, for newborn, do you change their diapers before or after feed ? During day and night feeds. And do we really need to change before/after every feed even if its just pee? #firsttimemom

I change before feed, if too late wait 30 mins after feed

Just weird

My 6 weeks LO always so calm when outside. Today we went for dinner at hotel and she cried murder unable to coax. It was so hard to calm her down during dinner. She was fine after we make our way home. But kept wanting milk. Finished 60ml on the journey back(which as quite short) and breastfeed both breast when came home. And 2 times of wet diapers just after reach home

6 weeks is when a developmental leap happens, behaviours will change. and it’ll keep evolving as your LO grows up.. every time only temporary then new pattern will emerge
