How do I clear my baby gas fast and effectively?

needs to drink before sleeping

baby 4 months old and has the habit of drinking milk (20-30mls) before sleeping. even if he took his full milk share 15-30 mins ago. is that a problem?

No. It’s just his comfort feeding.

Smoker in the house

I have a brother in law that smokes in his room when he is at home in the morning and at night and that smell lingers outside to the hall where my small infant sometimes spends time outside, and used to sleep there at night when my mother in law takes care of him. She already told him not continue in the house but he is still doing it. I have since then make sure the baby spends more time in my room which is further away from him and also at night I don’t bring him out. I’m concern about the smell and how harmful it is for my baby, how long does it actually take to go off

why i cant bond with my baby...

Being a mom was supposed to be the happiest time of my life, or so they said. But for me, it felt like I was living in a foggy dream. From the moment my baby was born, I struggled to feel that magical bond everyone talks about. As I held my little one in my arms, I felt a mix of emotions—overwhelmed, exhausted, and yes, a little scared. But where was that overwhelming rush of love that everyone talked about? Instead, I felt like a stranger in my own body, unsure of how to connect with this tiny human I had brought into the world. Days turned into weeks, and still, the bond I longed for seemed elusive. I went through the motions—feeding, changing diapers, trying to soothe the cries—but it all felt mechanical, devoid of the warmth and connection I craved. I watched other moms effortlessly cuddle and coo with their babies, wondering what I was doing wrong. Was I just not cut out for this motherhood thing? The guilt gnawed at me, adding to the weight of my doubts and insecurities. am i normal??????? please help

Baby hand n leg rashes

Hi mummies, my 10-month LO has this rash on both hands and legs. The doctor gave FOBANCORT CREAM to apply, it's getting better but the rashes come back again. Will it recover on its own? or I should bring him to the doctor again?

I totally understand how worrying it is when the rash keeps coming back even after treatment, because we went through something similar with my son when he was around that age and it was so stressful watching it flare up again and again. The fact that it improves with the cream but returns could mean there is an underlying trigger, like an allergy or eczema, that the cream alone is not fully addressing. I would bring your LO back to see the PD again and let them know the rash keeps recurring, so they can have a proper look and maybe investigate further. It is always better to get it checked again rather than just continuing with the same cream if it is not giving a lasting result. Hope your little one feels better soon, hang in there mummy.

LO refusing fm

hi mummies! ftm mom here, my LO is fully fed with fm & he has suddenly been refusing fm since about a month ago. he's 5 months right now. when i would give him fm, he would make a puking face or just straight up refusing, crying until i stop giving him.. he only accepts it when he's truly hungry. supposedly, he should be drinking 150ml right now.. however he cant even finish 120ml most of the time. should i change the fm, bottle, teat or which way should i explore in order to provide him comfort when drinking fm? i had tried changing the teat as sometimes he choke on the milk when feeding.. now he's still using 0-3 months teat and seems more comfortable than he was when using 3-6 months teat as he would get angry everytime he chokes on the milk. he would choke on it even when lying in a half upright position #adviceplease #FTM #FormulaFedBabies

Oh I really feel you on this, being a FTM and going through feeding struggles is so stressful and you are doing a great job trying to figure it out for your little one. My second one went through a similar phase around the same age where she would fuss and cry at every feed, and after some back and forth we realised it was a combination of the teat flow and her position during feeding that was causing discomfort. Since your LO is choking even at a slower flow teat and making those puking faces, it might be worth bringing him to see your PD soon, just to rule out things like reflux or any other feeding issue that could be causing the resistance. Sometimes what looks like fussiness is actually the baby telling us something is bothering them physically, and a PD can really help you work through whether a formula change or any other adjustment is needed. Hang in there, you are already paying such close attention to him and that is honestly the most important thing.

irresponsible husband or am i exaggerating?

My husband and I have a beautiful 7-month-old baby, and while we both love our little one dearly, I can't help but feel like the responsibilities of parenthood are falling disproportionately on me. It seems like no matter what, I'm always the one who's on call for our baby. Whether it's feeding in the middle of the night, soothing during a meltdown, or managing the day-to-day tasks of childcare, it's like I'm the default parent. Meanwhile, my husband still seems to have the freedom to go out with friends, focus on his career, and pursue his interests without having to consider the baby. And while I'm happy that he's able to maintain some semblance of his pre-baby life, it's hard not to feel a little resentful when I'm the one who's constantly tethered to our little one's needs. I know that communication is key in any relationship, but I'm hesitant to bring this up with my husband because I don't want to create conflicts or hurt feelings. I worry that expressing my frustrations will only lead to arguments and further strain on our relationship. Has anyone else experienced similar feelings in their own journey through parenthood? How have you managed to navigate the division of roles and responsibilities with your partner without causing tension?

I feel you. It’s not like mine doesn’t help. But he’s more chilled like can watch tv or play games when I’m pumping and thus baby is with helper. For me I’ll be having a mental list of what to buy, what to plan for baby’s meals or what activities to do with baby
