What are the best toys to give to a baby less than 6 months?

Cloth book, cloth flash card? A small Play gym would be good too. They love looking into themselves in reflection too.

Are there any evident signs that indicate one would have an overweight baby?

As a parent, it's very hard to tell I your baby is overweight as there is a popular belief that chubby baby equals good parenting. While baby will look cute now, he will be exposed to other health problems as he grows if not curbed. The best way is to seek a doctor's advice. Ask him about baby's BMI and whether or not he is in the healthy range. Another way is to see how baby is moving -- overweight babies tend to move sluggishly or not as fast as a normal sized baby.

Please someone tell me it is just a phase. Had been suffering horrible nights since the the past 2 days. My boy 13mo was down with fever on Saturday n has recovered. But now, every night he has trouble sleeping. Waking up n then whining n crying. Offering him milk he will just drink for 5-10mins, doze off for awhile n then repeat the whole crying/whining n rolling all over me. I hardly get any rest. Is tis just a phase? What can I do to make him sleep better?

how many FTWM resigned after maternity to stay at home with LO? Is it worth to give up your career, when baby can be placed in an IFC, which might even be more beneficial for baby. Does this stretch the family finances a lot?

I didn't resigned but was forced to resign as my boss says that I'm taking too many urgent leaves. As a FTWM, this is one of the challenges you will face especially if you put LO in IFC. Kids in IFC are prone to virus attack during the 1st 6 mths and this is the time where lots of urgent leaves may be involved. Be prepared for such. From FTWM to SAHM, you will definitely be affected fainancially and if your finances doesn't allow, sometimes it will lead to many unnecessary quarrels between hubby and yourself.

Hi mummies, I'm currently struggling with my 7mo lo morning nap. She will never nap longer than 15 mins. I have tried to sleep beside her, yet she still not able to nap longer. She can nap for 2 hours during her noon nap and 30 mins cat nap during evening nap. She will wake up 2- 3 times during midnight. Is her routine healthy enough as I know at her age should have stretch nap for an hour at least for morning nap. thanks!

anyone face problems with bottles that are off different markings? im using pigeon bottles now but the amount seem to be diff from my avent storage cup..

Bulb syringe or nasal aspirator more effective in clearing baby's nose? Where did you get yours? Any good ones to recommend?

I like to use NoseFrida to clear baby's mucus. If your baby is prone to having runny nose try to let baby to sleep in non-aircon room at night. Before using nasal aspirator, you can use Sterimar Nasal Spray to spray first so it will be easier to suck out using NoseFrida. You can get NoseFrida from Mothercare at about $22.
