may i know how you store your formula milk??

After the preparation of formula milk, you should always refrigerate any bottles you fill for feedings that will happen later to prevent bacteria from multiplying. Any opened containers of readymade or concentrate formula should also be refrigerated. After 24 hours, make sure to throw away any mixed formula after and any readymade or concentrate formula that has been opened after 48 hours. For formula powder, best to make a fresh bottle each time it's time for feeding as milk powder, unlike formula in a carton, is not sterile.

Do u use pull up pants diapers or tape diapers? What's the difference?

Tape, cos they are cheaper and doesn't leak as easily as pull ups (from my experience with 3 girls) Pull up is more for toilet training and every childcare's requirement it seems.

Has anyone tried Leander baby cot ? For how long have you been using ? What are your reviews ? Is it worth the high price in your opinion ?

I bought a wooden baby cot since my no.1 but end up baby refused to sleep in it when she turned 4 months old. We chose to co-sleep as it is more convenient for me to direct latch her during night time. Also, for no.2, the same thing happened. Thus, I gave away my baby cot to a mummy. For no.3, I just get a portable Graco playpen as it can be used for baby's napping area, as it is not safe for me to place baby on the floor mattress since I have 2 elder kids at home. Also, I feel playpen can be used for a longer period as once baby grows older, I can lower the playpen to confine baby in case I need to attain to housework.

How do you prevent viruses from spreading between the kids in the house? Everytime my no1 is sicked, my no2 will sure get it and vice versa.

Keep hygiene levels high at home; make sure the kids wash their hands thoroughly before, after meals, playing and using the bathroom. If needed, use disinfectant on top of the normal hand soap. During mealtimes, make sure the kids do not share utensils or eat off each others' plates. Also, consider "quarantining" the sick child if possible -- if they sleep in the same room, separate them for the time being and try to limit their playtime together. One of my friends actually sent her child who is HMFD free to stay with her grandparents while the sick sibling stayed on with the parents till he recovered.

Any baby sleep training book to recommend? I prefer NO cry-it-out method.

You can consider this book "Sleeping through the night" by Jodi Mindell Ph.D. My friend refers to this while trying to sleep train her boy and found it helpful. Hi mummies.. my 7mo lo keep wake up at night even after feeding. She wake up every 30 mins. sometimes just to nurse for 2 mins and fall asleep and sometimes just want me to pat her to sleep. She has been like this for few nights. Anyone had same experiences or solution to share? TIA!

Hi Shirley, your girl is relying on you to help her sleep. As long as she doesn't know how to sleep on her own, she will keep waking up.

I'm trying to start a routine for my LO (aged 10wks) to get him to sleep through the night.. But his sleeping pattern is erratic.. He doesn't sleep much from 9am to 4pm (even after tremendous coaxing), and sleep better after (maybe tired).. Do I purposely wake him up esp during the after-4pm period? knowingly that he never sleep much before that?

normally within 24hrs. shd last 1-2 days I give when fever hit 37.5, just once then no more fever

hi.. he is doing exploration.. he might be teething or self soothing.. no worries.. my girl is 8 mth old now and still doing it.. ;)
