how do you overcome stranger anxiety? my lo is turning 11mos & still cries whenever a stanger greets him :( its frustrating because they think they made the baby cry and keep on apologizing

Prep baby beforehand if you know that a "stranger" will be around. Talk to him constantly and say that this uncle is a friend or this lady is your friend etc. If your son sees someone approaching on the street -- and you know him but baby doesn't -- let him see you quickly smile and then greet said "stranger" from a distance. In your baby's cautious mind, if the stranger is okay with you, the stranger is okay with him. Also let you friends and family know that baby is quite nervous around strangers and ask them not to go too "gaga" around him. Sometimes we can get too excited around baby and it can be traumatizing when we get too much into their faces cooing and touching him.

My baby is one week old and we are staying in a dengue cluster area. May I check if there are any suitable on-the-go mosquito repellent that I can use on my baby? I heard those patches are not suitable for infants due to the ingredients that are used to produce the smell that deters the mosquitoes. I saw one battery operated (led/uv) clip on repellant at kiddy palace. Can newborn use that? Thanks. Ps. I have a uv lamp insert repellant in my living room, but I'm afraid the mosquitoes would bite my newborn in the garden

I've recently started my LO on solids and she has gagged on every single thing i gave her. Broccoli, carrots, apples, potatoes. I'm not sure if it's the consistency that i am getting wrong or just the choice of food that she hates. How do i make this new experience for LO more enjoyable? I've been preparing the food myself, should i experiment with food pouches as well? Help.

Try baby rice and see if baby accepts that over purée
