I've recently started my LO on solids and she has gagged on every single thing i gave her. Broccoli, carrots, apples, potatoes. I'm not sure if it's the consistency that i am getting wrong or just the choice of food that she hates. How do i make this new experience for LO more enjoyable? I've been preparing the food myself, should i experiment with food pouches as well? Help.

Being naive me, i followed my CL way to sterilise a NUK tongs in my Dr Brown steriliser since the birth of lo. I went to buy a new NUK tongs to replace the broken one today and the Kiddy Palace staff mentioned that plastic tongs are not meant to be sterilised! What should i do now? Am i being over worried? Lo is gng to 6mo now.

What done is done, perhaps, you can discard the one sterilise and use a new one for grabbing thing out. Always do check around with different people what can sterilise what cannot. After all, different people give different answer, so not all the same. It's good to have a double cfm ans.

My friend told me that cod liver oil is no good for kid..cod oil is better.. issit true.. can any mummy advice..

Both my toddlers (5, 2.5) have been consuming cod liver oil (original) since they turned 1 yo. They rarely fall sick as compared to the other children. I will think that other than supplements, the children must eat more fruits, veg and exercise more. I feel that If all the nutrients are absorbed then actually supplements are not even necessary.

May I know how do you change formula from nan 1 to nan 2 ? I tried to change but lo don't like so I mix the two formula till now I giving him 4 scoop nan1 and 2 scoop nan 2 , how can I totally change to nan 2?

You did the right thing. Increase gradually and give it more time for baby to adapt.

I'm planning to shift my 4 months old from karihome to enfamil. Is enfamil good for gain weight? She learned the power of her tongue muscle recently and always refuse to drink milk, will finish 40-60 ml every 3 hours. Her firm body fats feel soft now. ☹️

Hi mummy, I cant ans whether enfamil is good for weight gain. However, my children were on partial enfamil when they were young. They gradually began to be on 95 percentile of their weight and height so that is good for me. Do you have any friends whose baby is drinking enfamil? able to take 2 feeds from her to try coz pd or the company don give out sample pack for so young bb. They are encouraging breastmilk. Also, check if u have fed her semi solid coz some children rej milk once they have tasted semi solid food. Some of the milk powder taste differently when mixed with the semi solid.

My baby is one week old and we are staying in a dengue cluster area. May I check if there are any suitable on-the-go mosquito repellent that I can use on my baby? I heard those patches are not suitable for infants due to the ingredients that are used to produce the smell that deters the mosquitoes. I saw one battery operated (led/uv) clip on repellant at kiddy palace. Can newborn use that? Thanks. Ps. I have a uv lamp insert repellant in my living room, but I'm afraid the mosquitoes would bite my newborn in the garden

After i boil n mash into puree can i put the remaining at the chiller instead of freezer? When my lo one to eat i just take out and make warm. She 6month old.

Always freeze as this will help to maintain the nutrients and will help to keep the puree for longer. If you freeze it it could open itself to contamination and bacteria build up

hi all, any recommendations for baby gym? for 11 months old.

I heard that Hokey Pokey at Seletar Mall is pretty good -- read from somewhere that it is the number 1 baby gym and indoor playground. They have a variety of play areas to choose from. Besides that, there is a huge area where you can rent for birthday parties. The changing room space is well equiped with wet wipes and plastic bag.
