Anyone have issues on LO having sensory integration issue? My 17mo LO refuse to touch on all kinds of different textures; sand, flour, dough, water bean etc. What can I do to help her overcome this problem?

Usually I would start with the textures that are not so overwhelming. Usually that will be beans, dough and probably flour and sand. I will also grade the exposure of materials usually in a play setting. Ie. Start with using a tool like spoons to scoop to touch the materials and then you can also put a toy that they like into the materials and let them play with the toy. When they are more willing and accepting then you can try getting them to touch it with their friends. I will go slow with the exposure of the materials as you do not want to Create too much anxiety it. Follow the lead of your child. Also if they are tactile defensive you might also want to look at other sensory systems to see if they are also sensitive such as sound ( toilet flushing sound, hair dryer)

Can i check do you encountered baby about 3months 3 weeks to 4 months who dont drink milk. Can whole day maybe just take in about only 300ml of milk? He keep on crying whenever i feed him milk and refuse to drink but mouth is making the sound tak tak tak as if he wants to eat. And also lately i found he keep on sucking his hand but sometimes few fingers in it and legs will go high up or sometime rubbing his feet. I'm so worried. Can someone share experience?

My daughter did go through a period of milk strike. Her lowest intake was around 450ml. What I did was try to feed her while she was asleep. Occasionally she will reject the bottle, but I will keep wiggling the bottle in her mouth until she drinks. Another method you can try is using a syringe to feed. Please remember to monitor her diapers and ensure she is not dehydrated. Hope this phase goes away soon!

Hi How much formula milk does your one month old baby drink per day? My girl drinks 6 feeds a day and slept thru the night just like my firstborn. However about e feeding, i'm not sure if it too little for her. Thanks!

My LO's nanny actually places 蚊香 and diffuse lemongrass EO in the house for this Zika period, anyone could tell me if it is suitable for my 5.5mths old LO to sniff it everyday just like that? As there is a bedridden elderly and my LO in the house, so they are kind of kiasu in putting one 蚊香 each in each room and living room. My LO is currently staying there overnight.

Hello everyone! Does anyone own a Miki House carrier? I received it as a gift and it was directly bought in Japan. Usually I will be kiasu and read through all manuals before using any item. All the instructions and warning are written in Jap. I need some help on the use of the carrier. There is a piece of mesh that I do not know what is the purpose for. There are no diagrams on the manual. Thanks!
