I think I might be coming down with the flu. Any recommendation on the type of medication I can take that would not affect breastfeeding?

My 2 mths lo is now having flu n light coughing. Should I bring her to PD or just continue BF her? BM = Natural Medicine?

As a mom of 2 kids, I only let my babies latch when they were still infant whenever the have slight fever and cough or colds. Synthetic medicines aren't really advised for babies under 6 months unless the case is really worse.

Hi mummies, would like to confirm whether my pump flange is too big for me? I'm using Spectra 28mm flange (default). I'm not sure whether i should get a 24mm. TIA!

Thanks everyone for your input! I bought 24mm just to try out, and it helped me yield 90ml more than usual. My nipples dont feel as sore too.

Can you get PMS when your menses is not back & is fully breastfeeding (latch & pump)? I'm currently 4 mths PP, lately I am feeling pretty moody. Gets irritated easily & feels depressed.

Thank you. i guess I'm suffering slight PPD.. i think i had it when baby was abt 1-2 mths old. then i started to feel better, but lately it hit me again :( i think im more prone to depression since im more of a negative mindeset person.. hope my baby doesnt hv this bad genes of mine.

I am 11 wpp, and my supply is not enough for my LO's increasing appetite. am thinking of trying fenugreek.. does it work? also, I heard that it works only if you eat it right from the beginning of your breastfeeding journey, does that mean it is too late for me?

it doesn't matters when u are taking it as long as u are taking sufficient per day. LC advice to take minimum 3 capsules 3 times per day. but do take note tat it might cause u and ur bub to be gassy (will fart more and u have to help bub to pass out more gas).

What breastmilk storage milkbags do you recommend?

I have tried Lasinoh, Dr Brown and Boots. I personally like Dr Browns milk storage bag as it is self standing and has a double zipper deal. Boots is also pretty good. If you buy from Boots BKK it costs only THB150 for a box of 40 bags. It can store 250ml.

I'm expecting my LO in a couple of months, by which time it would have been about 2 years since I last used my freestyle pump. Is there a need to change all the parts? Or just the membranes?

It will be better to change all the parts since they are left in storage for such a long time. I left mine in storage for 5 years and most of the parts are slightly yellowed. Newborn have very fragile stomach so to prevent any tummy upset, it will be better to change.

My 10th month old baby is having tummy flu, flu and coughing too. She's been throwing up especially after latching. She's slightly better now but it seem she's afraid to latch because she will throw up again. Is this possible? She still latching during night time but not as much as before. in the afternoon she will latch but will pull out before the let down and she will stop drinking. I'm worried this will keep going on even after she's ok. Is this normal, will she be latching again ?

She may be latching less as its normal for unwell babies to lose their appetite - much like adults. I would not the worry unless Tjis continues when she is feeling better. Hope bub gets well soon. Hugs your way!

Wan ask , as my younger daughter was born premature , her jaundice has been increasing even til now is 225 bt the limit is 300.. She has went under the blue light once as tat tym she hit the limit of 220 n was admitted in kkh for 2 days.. Currently is ther ani other ways to help her decrease the jaundice ? My mil she hear the auntie say the rice wen is abt to b cooked , take a little water n put red dates n let my girl drink bt try for 2 days stil the same .. A little pek chek as i saw before one mummies post abt water intoxicfication.. Other dn this ani other solution? As i dun wish for my gurl to get admitted again

Is ur boy oso premature ? Cos the doc sae my girl is premature so the jaundice wil stay longer.. So i go to the chinese med hall n tel them i want the herbs for jaundice?
