Is it true that having a newborn to latch is a challenge? My nb is only a week old and every breastfeeding time is always a "trial and error" with him. I use the same techniques everytime and he latches only a few times.

I guess U have to keep trying till U get a hang of it. It was very tough for me initially to but as U do it more often it will get easier for e both of U. Now my lo latches like a pro, she's turning 6mo:)

What does it mean when a baby is fussy at the Breast when feeding?

Hi mommy Mishy! There could be a lot of factors why a baby is fussy in the breast so as a caring mom we should take note of everything that may cause the discomfort. As an exclusively breastfeeding mom myself, I check if my little one is not feeling too hot, living in the Philippines (and no airconditioning) I ready some clean damp lampin beside me and wipe it to my little one to ease her. So far it worked for me.

What is your take on drinking alcohol while breastfeeding?

Hi mummies, wanna get your advice. My 5.5 month baby has now stopped feeding at night and shifted all feeding to the day and this means that his intake during the day increases significantly from 130ml to 180ml and sometimes 200ml per feed. I used to pump twice during the day to meet his daily demand when I am in office and direct latch when I am at home / at night. now I have to wake up at night two times to do additionally pumping to meet his daily demand. Is there a way that I can increase my pumping output during the day thus I don't need to pump at night? Thank you very much!

You may wish to power pump in the day to increase your supply. However if you don't pump at night, you will feel engorged. Maybe you can pump just before bed time and wake up at least once instead of twice to pump. You can't just don't pump.

Recently my output has been reducing , I don't know is because I latch lo before I come to work that's why reduce or due to other reason, I latch him in the morning ard 6 am or 6 am plu then when I reach work I will pump ard 10.30 am and my output is 50ml drop to 40ml now or sometime 30ml plu. The second time I pump would be 3pm which is 30ml or 20ml, I have to use two day pump to make a bottle of ard 120ml for my lo to drink ~ I am getting disheartening , I don't know why I can't be like the others to have so much supply when I took fenugreek and also mothers tea or fennel tea.

mummy, don't be disheartened. There will be moments when our supply dip. there will be ups and downs in our supply. Remember, dont give yourself too much stress. Drink more warm water or soup before you pump. I had to give my LO some fm when my menses suddenly came and supply dropped. I gave him full bm only when my body regulated and i had more milk.

Help! I forgot my milk bags! Can I store my ebm in a new plastic mineral water bottle (I open and pour away the water)? I got my ice packs and stuff - just forgot the milk bags :(

Yes, make sure you have removed all the water. Then transfer the milk as soon as possible

What do you do when your 4-month-old baby starts to bite your nipples?

dont react, stop breastfeeding session and say 'no biting' to your baby. Resume breastfeeding when baby is calmer. Don't react as baby will keep biting to draw reaction from us.

Is it true that weaning definitely will have to go through engorgement? Does weaning (due multiple medical advices from few different Doctors) has to be so emotional and stressful ? What are the ways to make it easier..

Currently Lo is less than 6 months and also sudden weaning due to medical Advices..
