Please share your experience in bringing expressed breast milk out for shopping etc. Do you store inside a cooler bag? How do you warm up the milk for baby?

I store in a cooler bag, brought along the portable bottle warmer.

If I pump out my bm on the 1st and kept it in the mini fridge, can I still feed my LO? It's already 4 days

i will use it within 5 days.. else will go to freezer

Do methi seeds help in increasing breast milk?

Methi seeds or fenugreek is usually taken in capsule form, drank as tea, to increase milk production. It works for some mommies and for others, not so much. Note that the tea is weaker in terms of dosage than the capsule form. Normally, one dose is 2-3 capsules (580-610 mg each), taken orally 3 times per day. You can get fenugreek teas and capsules at most health food stores or online at iherb.com.

My baby is one day old been trying to latch him on but no milk.. Anyone having this problem? Nurse said its normal it takes few days to stimulate and milk to flows its true?

mine finally came in on day 7 after much latching & pumping. nipples also couldnt stand the pumping initially. thank goodness there was nipple cream to save the nipples from the pain.

One teacher at my lo's IFC accidentally opened a new tin of formula milk. :( My lo has been on total bf/bm since 2 months plus. The tin of milk was bought just in case of insufficient bm. Should I let her do mixed feeding at IFC, cos it'll be a waste if I throw away the fm after 3 weeks, or should I just continue to let her drink bm?

if you have sufficient bm, then maybe you can give the formula away to other infants there? since ur LO is already on total bm/bf, I rather maintain it that way if possible.

My LO is 3 months old and has been drinking ebm from the bottle and I try to latch her on occasional as she couldn't latch on well initially. Recently, she refused to drink from the bottle. She cries and screams very loudly whenever we try to feed her from the bottle and only wants to latch on. Anyone knows why is this so? I thought when we give baby the bottle they wouldn't want to latch on anymore. Now I need to go back to work soon. How do I get her to accept the bottle again?

Try normal medela feeding bottle not the calma... I face same prob like u and she accept this bottle as baby need the whole nipple to go inside their mounts fit suction.

My baby is going 10 months old. I hope to wean him off from latching. To start with my breastmilk isn't enough for him at all. He is just latching for comfort. I hope to wean him off by 1 year old. Any ways and method to do so? TIA

One way to wean baby off breastfeeding before he or she is a year old, is to give him or her formula milk instead. My friends tell me that combining breastmilk and formula will ease your baby through the transition.

I pump at work in the day and I DL at night. I've been having a large lump on my right breast lately which my pump can't clear. only baby latching can clear it. I'm back at work today and pumping twice (once every 4 hours) and the lump is back. what should I do?

Have you tried massaging the lump while pumping milk. If the only way to properly drain the lump is DLing your baby and you can't do that at work, try a few methods like massaging and placing a warm towel over that area when pumping. Don't let it be there for too long or it could turn into mastitis.

I read that Domperidone, the pill used to increase breastmilk, is very harmful and that it is banned in the US and also nearly 60 people have died from heart problems while taking the drug. Is this true?

Yes I have read the same thing too. The drug is illegal to distribute in the USA, as it is not approved by the FDA.
