Hi mummies. How many maternity/nursing bras should I purchase in preparation for breastfeeding? Are the moulded nursing bras sufficient or should I also get maternity sleep bras? Any recommendations appreciated. Thanks!

I only bought two, usually at home just put the breastpads on my top instead. Previously I fully breastfed and latch my LO

Yes, you still can. Babies won't get ill from breastfeeding, ensure you don't cough onto your baby. Please do hydrate yourself too.

Anyone breastfeeding has this issue? I have blisters on both side of my breast!! Painful when touched and especially when latching.

Mommies, what to do if there are milk duct at underarms? My LO doesn’t latch, so currently I pump every 2 hourly. But the milk that expressed out is just merely 20ml.

Hard to say why the expressed milk so low, mine was also. But it's because I had poor latch-on, couldn't find lactation consultant during time of delivery, by the time figured it out after a huge saga, already like low milk supply. Think have to see lactation consultant then they can advise.. the condition of the nipples may also be a factor, like too much blockage at the tip (awful experience for me of cleaning it.. don't even want to think about it!)

Did you have enough rest? As in someone help with your lo in e day/night. How’s your blood pressure? Did you drink a lot of fluids? Please go see a doc for examination.

Breastfeeding clog

Oh no,there’s a milk clog on my breast. Is it because I have forgotten to pump during one of the timing? Any ways to unclog it? Will it go away if I go back to pumping every 3 hours?

Massage it, its gonna be painful but it helps. Use warm towel to cover and massage it. If its too painful can hire a lactation lady to help. If u pump regularly again it will be better, but for now masaage n ease the clog ducts first.

Clogged ducts or not?

Hi, after pumping my boobs feel soft but there are white spots on my nipples which milk dun come out from. They are not painful to touch but my supply has dropped. Is this clogged ducts?

Yes. milk blisters will be very painful. Maybe you can try gently rub with warm/hot wet compress before feedings or pumping. If it’s still doesn’t work. I would suggest go to doc and double check. If it is milk blisters, they will use sterile needle.
