Protein Shake in second trimester

Hello mummies. Im currently taking protein shake which has all the good ingredients in it and safe for pregnancy. And i stop taking my prenatal vitamins cause i just couldn’t stand the smell of it and im having constipation after taking prenatal vitamins. Now after taking protein shake, im been going to daily normally. Just curious anyone else taking protein shake and stop taking prenatal vitamins?

Best to check with gynae. If the ingredients are good and safe and can replace prenatal vits then sounds ok. Personally I endorse balanced natural diet.

Breastfeeding Issues

Hi mommies, I have short nipples and i can only latch on my left, my right i will pump the milk out. However everytime i want to latch on, my left nipple hurts and it became sore after continuous latching. Sometimes it bleeds. How do i prevent this from happening again so i can bond my time with newborn instead of concentrating on the pain?

Hi mummy. I'm same like you. My right nipple is shorter than the left but I still latch my baby on that side to prevent it from clogging even when I pumped out the milk. Your baby should not need to turn his/her head towards your nipple. Make sure your baby's stomach and yours are at the same level then put your nipple in between baby's nose and his/her upper lip. Your baby will auto suck your nipple like that and it won't be painful. Get yourself a nipple cream. Helps to soothe the pain.

Period after delivery

Hi mamas, I am almost 6 weeks postpartum and seem to have gotten my period - could this bleeding really be my period, is it normal? I'm breastfeeding and pumping both. Thank you!

It could be po. Tapos paiba iba pa po yung cycle niya bago mag back to your regular cycle. Had mine one month after giving birth :( both pumping and bfeeding too

Curious baby and pooping issues

Hello. My baby just turned 2mo 6days and she is on full breastmilk. I do direct latching only and recently I noticed a few things : 1) She doesn't empty my boobs anymore. She used to be able to empty it within 5mins, no distractions, just sucking till satisfaction. Nowadays she gets fussy during latching, pulling and tugging alot so I will have to re-latch multiple times because she is still looking for milk and will cry for it. My flow can be quite fast as it's continuous dripping so I didn't think it was slow flow that cause her to become fussy. I am wondering why she tugs and pulls so much now :( 2) She doesn't poop for 2-3 days but we still get decent number of wet diapers. Is this normal? P.s/ 3) She was taking bottle as and when I need to head out but recently she doesn't seem to know how to suck the bottle anymore. Not even the pacifier. She will cry in hunger but refuse to suck the bottle, even when I'm not anywhere near my sister who is helping me feed her. Should I start introducing bottles to her alrdy? Thanks everyone in advance!

Can’t really advice on the first one, cause I EP mummy. 2) it’s totally normal for BF not to poop for days. If u get a good amount of wet diapers, she should be fine! 3) this happen to my nephew. Like her refuse to drink from the bottle when the mummy not around and will drink well when she’s around. But I’m not sure if that’s the case for u. How to label milk storage bag?

Hi mummies! How do I label my milk storage bag? When do I write the time? Like when I first express say example at 4pm or after I finish express say 4.30pm? Also can I mix the milk that I express 3 hrs ago on the same bag? I express every 3 hrs and sometimes I can get 10ml, sometimes 20ml. Can mix together in a bag?

If milk is different temperature, don’t mix.

Hi, anak saya umur 2 bulan skrng die kurang minum susu..selalu minum tak hbs..saya bagi setiap 2-3 jam sekali..btw anak saya minum susu FM..apakah saya perlu tukar susu??

Can I reheat breastmilk?

Hi mommies, any idea if i can restore the remaining breastmilk back to the fridge and reheat again afterward?
